Tall / lengthy
Athletic
Good shooter with range
Lob threat
Good weakside shot blocker / rim protector
Still only 27 years old

Pretty much as good a player to pair next to Duren as possible IMO

Now that said, he does have some negatives:
Can be lax sometimes on D
Can get pushed around on D when playing C
Rumored to not be a good locker room guy (rumor)
Some people here think he’s a douche canoe (rumor)

If we can get him to buy in to being a full-time PF and playing sound weak side D, and the 3rd option on O, Wood, the player, is a great fit.

Ivey
Cade
Bogey/Ausar
WOOD
Duren
I doubt Weaver is looking at Wood considering he's bounced around so much it indicates some issue we don't see.

That’s the other knock on him….he’s bounced around the league.

But so does everyone these days.

If we limit ourselves to only guys who have been on 1 team, our FA pool would be extremely thin.

No Cam
No Grant
No Bruce Brown
No Ben Wallace before we got him
No Billups either

You get the point….I don’t care about how many teams a guy has been with if he’s a good fit and makes the Pistons better. We’re not college kids anymore talking about a chick’s body count.

I don't care that he's bounced around the league - I wonder why a dude with his obvious skills has yet to find a home in the league.

Can't just be about defense

Go for Cam. That would have the biggest impact.

Getting marginally better players helps a little on the short run, but eats up our cap space. So if we don’t get Cam, we should just shop for bargains on 1 year deals.

We should not sign anyone to a 2 year deal or longer if they wouldn’t be on our future playoff roster.

We sort of followed what I thought, although Williams clearly told Weaver that Cam wasn’t the right move. So we used our cap space to improve the team without any 2+ year money. So we have cap space next year. Maybe OG was the play all along. I think OG > Cam.

I would imagine the hope is that all our guys improve their outside shooting and that Cade's playmaking gets everyone better shots than they saw last season.

Bagley, Bojan, Harris and Burks with Cade feeding them might not get a single stop but they'll be able to score the ball
