Dallas still interested in Bojan
https://thesmokingcuban.com/posts/dallas-mavericks-trade-rumors-bojan-bogdanovic
I know they will always need more D, but every team could use a sharpshooter. Now that the draft is over and this year’s picks are out of a deal, what kind of package would make this work for you?

After trading away Bullock & Bertans, they could definitely use him.
I’m not sure what they have to offer though outside of future picks.

The only piece I really care about is Hardy

Re: Dallas still interested in Bojan
The Mavs aren’t a contending team but are clearly still trying to behave like one, which I sorta get given where they are in Luka’s contract.
That means they’re unlikely to part with anyone they view as key moving forward.
We won’t be getting Hardy.
It’s unlikely they’ll give us a first either- seems nobody values Bojan there.
It’s a non-story IMO.

He does make some sense. Dallas clearly needs defense, but they're trump card will always be offense, and a lineup of Bojan, Irving, and Doncic would certainly do that. How this would make any sense for the Pistons...no idea.

Re: Dallas still interested in Bojan
My idea for a trade
Bogan and Bagley
For
Max Kleber Hardaway Hardy and second round picks/Green
I don’t think this trade gets us a first round pick. I think it can get us two good projects at third string and two veterans. We can give them Killian to make it work.

I know many in here will frown on this deal, but something centering around Bogey for Wood (plus sweetener) could work out well for both sides.

Dallas does have this guy and he's a 6'8 PF who was just selected 24th in the draft

Re: Dallas still interested in Bojan
They have no one of worth they would trade, and I don't want any more draft picks.
Keep Bojan. We need guys who can play and lead. Or simply by example, how he can score 20 ppg so easily. He moves without the ball, instead of just standing around.

Re: Dallas still interested in Bojan
I doubt we have any intention of trading Bojan early in the year.
Whether that’s wise or not is another question. Could end up being a combination “no, we’re not good enough to make the play-in” and “get minutes for Ausar” trade at mid-season or the deadline.

Re: Dallas still interested in Bojan
The deal would need to be THJ for Bojan with one of Hardy, Green or Prosper as a filler.
If they don't want to offer that then there shouldn't be any interest at all.
Maybe they can add something else as salary to get Burks seeing as he wouldn't be needed anymore.

Or we send them Bogey, Dallas sends pieces to a 3rd team, and we get a PF upgrade from that 3rd team.

Re: Dallas still interested in Bojan
I really like O-Max Prosper and would be interested in acquiring him, but he’s a project and wouldn’t help now.
Still, Bojan for Timmy and O-Max interests me.

Re: Dallas still interested in Bojan
I expect the leadership wants to keep some veteran shooter(s) on the court with Cade to see that synergy develop along with the cutters and lob threats. That would support the idea of keeping Bojan and Burks at least until the deadline.
On the other hand, enough interest in Bojan at a bit too high a price might lead a team to make a better offer for Burks. I'd like to see Sasser get ample shooting opportunities and a decent PF prospect in return for Burks soon, with Bojan moving at the deadline or later.
We need enough quality shooting around Cade to find out how well that can work before we let our few good vets go. This is the season to find out who's a keeper and who gets paid.

If trade couldn't be made before draft, likely can't be made now.

Re: Dallas still interested in Bojan
bojan would be great for them, not only would he replace THJ's shooting (assuming he's the salary being sent back) but he can also put the ball on the floor and make plays which they currently don't have on the roster besides luka and kyrie. unfortunately for them, that's the reason we're likely keeping him because other than and ivey we don't either (and even ivey is still a work in progress).
there's a possibility other teams would be in the mix but a straight-up trade with dallas doesn't have a lot of promising options.
