Bucks lose Giannis for the year they suddenly become an average team.
Celtics lose Tatum, average team.
Pacers lose Halliburton, bottom feeder.
Bulls lose Lavine, bottom feeder
Magic lose Paolo, bottom feeder
Charlotte lose Lamelo, bottom feeder
Washington is a bottom feeder
Toronto loses Siakam, bottom feeder
76ers losing Embiid, average team at best
Nets are an average team
Miami loses Butler, bottom feeder.

PISTONS LOST CADE, BECAME A BOTTOM FEEDER

That’s how it works. Health is everything and I’m sick and tired of fans assuming it only happens to the Pistons.

Everyone is healthy? 27-30 wins

I'm still a big believer in Cade, but he's 21 years old and played 12 games after having an injured rookie year. Outside of Paolo, haven't all of those dudes already been All-Stars and/or All-NBA? How much does Cade change the fact that we were terrible on defense?

He doesn’t. What I know is we were a 27 win team with Cade and Jerami grant. I think we become that team again with a deep backcourt and center position.

The truth is currently we are worse on defense but not worse than last year given all the injuries. we are worse because we have more rookies and that’s what makes us a bad team. Rookies can’t keep up on defense. Can Ausar? I think so! So that’s improvement but he’s still a rookie so offensively might be a liability to start at SF.

The only answer I can give you that makes us better is Monty Williams.

Healthy Cade and year two of Ivey and Duren worth 10 more wins.

You have to take a slight over if everything plans out, otherwise we haven't significantly gotten better since last year. Only shored up a few additional sore spots like shooting and possibly defense. That and the only wild card we have is a potentially healthy Cade

So the final outcome...28 wins at best? Anyone that thinks 35+ is happening is either from the future or drinking some nice kool-aid

It takes real strategy and effort to lose less than 25 games. Over.

We employ that strategy when it becomes apparent we’re not doing to improve notably.

I hope that isn’t the case this year. I’ve had enough.

Yes and usually when you’re a fighting team that wants wins the NBA forces you in the treadmill team range which is just under the play in. It’s easier to miss the play in than it is to be a top 5 lottery team.
