Re: Off Season
Expecting Cade to be at 60 TS% is setting yourself up for disappointment. The midrange is a huge part of his game, and he doesn't get to the line much.
Aside from that it will take time to get acclimated after missing virtually his entire 2nd year. I'll be concerned if he doesn't look like he's taken a big leap by the time the all star break rolls around.

Re: Off Season
Guys who played at least 28 MPG last season and played in at least 12 games last year TS% from worst in the league.
1. Killian Hayes 45.5 TS%
2. Cade Cunningham 49.2 TS%
3. Dillon Brooks 49.4 TS%
4. Lu Dortz 50.0 TS%
5. Russell Westbrook 51.3 TS%
6. Jabari Smith Jr 51.4 TS%
.....
10. Jaden Ivey 52.8 TS%
Obviously Cade didn't look good at all in his 12 games in his second season.

Question is if we'll get it!
I'm looking forward to the season but still measured in my optimism. Maybe that comes from so many years of us failing to do anything idk

I’m a lions fan, so used to failure and being let down. I don’t see cade letting me down tho. His rookie year made me excited to watch pistons again, last year sucked, cause he sucked when playing, but he seemed to be trying to figure out how to play with everyone (Ivey). Just very **** he went down, lost a year of them two trying to figure it out together, so this year could be rough in that aspect. Unless cade says f it and just does him. Either way it’ll be way more entertaining than the **** we’ve dealt with the past 10 years or so. So there’s that for now.

Re: Off Season
He needs to at least hover around league average. While that's different every year overall .56ts and above should be the threshold. Needs to improve that 3 ball and finishing around the rim.MrBigShot wrote:Expecting Cade to be at 60 TS% is setting yourself up for disappointment. Not ideal that we had three players in the bottom 10, but also not going to judge Ivey too much for his as a rookie. Durant had a TS% 51.9 in his rookie year (appreciating that the average TS% has gone up significantly in the past 15 seasons).
Ivey also did improve significantly over the course of the season, and his TS% was 55.8 over the final 10 games while taking 18 shots per game.

He was playing injured. His 2nd season didn't even exist as far as I'm concerned, you could see he was hampered from the very beginning and I even said as such in the GDTs at the time.

Jaden Ivey on Cade Cunningham next season: “I think a lot of people are going to be shocked.”

Sometimes it feels like I was spoiled at watching Joe Dumars come in in 2000 and sign-and-trade for Ben Wallace and just a few short years later we're champions and 6 straight conference finals. Just feels like we're never going to see a build like that again.

Man that graphic is sweet, no you won’t see a championship built like that again, but you could see a star want to joint a core of young up and coming players if the situation is right, but atm the stars are usually just wanting to go team with other stars, that’s the big change from then till now, stars ban together, they didn’t do they as much back then except when they got older not in their primes

Superstar players rarely changed teams where now they demand trades.

Free agency is mostly dead for most teams now even big market cities. MOST NBA players resign with their teams now and just ask for a trade when they want out. I think it’s sad mostly for the fans because for me for example I have two Cade jerseys and I’m building up the hype around him as he gets older. I actually believe he’ll be a Top 15 player at some point even Top 10. What if he wants out? Pretty sad. The sport is losing its pride. There’s no point in being loyal as a fan if your player is gonna walk out like the way they do now. For example if Cade and the Pistons now don’t make it to Playoffs, I will likely stop watching basketball after 20 years. I can’t stand all the losing and trying again and again, developing trading signing. The roster takes 5 years to assemble unless you have a superstar walking in and that’ll never happen without the Playoffs.
