So Bojan is out the first two preseason games with a "low grade calf strain".

Guess that means we'll be seeing;

Cade
Ivey
Ausar
Stewart
Duren

Right out of the gates.

Its what I wanted anyways.

Also, exactly what I've been saying;

"I don’t think anybody anymore goes into opening night feeling like they have to have all the answers," Williams said this week. "There’s times where you can’t figure out your team until 10, 20 games into the season. You’re still trying to win every game until you do that, but I think there are teams in the league, the top teams, they’ve got it down. There’s about 15 of us that are still in a position where it’s like, we need some time to make sure we’re seeing what we need to see. I don’t think that’s a bad thing, especially when you have a new team like ours."

First twenty games are going to be rough, until Monty figures out his players, and rotations.

Looking at our schedule for first 20 there are not a lot of easy games. But that's the league right now; lots of parity.

Flip side of that is there isn't that much separating the middle 80%. There are a handful of teams at the extremes, but the distance between 12th and 4th isn't as much as people think.

Monty said "There's about 15 of us", so you figure at least a few of the teams we're facing early are also going to be trying to figure it out. Even your top tier teams made a lot of moves; BOS, PHX, MIL, GS, etc. These guys have us on talent, but could be resting players, adjusting to new players/roles or just generally coasting because it's a long season. We're going to be in a LOT of these games simply because of our energy level.

Just a few hours remain.

Starting lineup?

Cade
Ivey
Ausar
Stewart
Duren

Is my guess.

Looks like we'll have Joe Harris in the backup SF role. With those reconstructed ankles, it'll be good to see whether he's regained some mobility with a full off season to work out. We need to find out if he can fill that veteran gunner role if/when Bojan gets traded.

Any more Ping Pong votes now that we have a taste of the Monty Pistons?

Somehow after spending on Stewart, Bagley, Wiseman Pistons still don't have a real PF.

Ausar looks good.

Cade
Ausar
Bojan
Bagley
Duren

I think that would probably be the best overall lineup because Bagley can shoot and put the ball in the basket. Stewart can not be trusted for any real offense.

Maybe the goal is bottom 5 again? Then play Ivey and Stewart with Cade, Ausar. Just not enough shooting/offense and Ivey/Cade/Ausar all somewhat overlap. They all want the ball.
