Cade simply has to be better he's a TO machine and inefficient so far. He's has to find other ways to get it done out there.vege wrote:Roddy B for 3 wrote:ahike12 wrote:I feel like Chet being left open was a major factor in that loss, as stated by others.
I also just think we didn't match up with their bigs as well as we thought we would have. I haven't looked at box score or anything, but eye test didn't look good.
Also, we only lost by, what, 12? It felt like a lot more. Giddey lit us up in the second half.
Just felt like a really off night, which is what I'm hoping it was. I refuse to let go of my optimism already.
Dort and Chet are both playing like DPOYs right now. Having Dort on your best creator and Chet clogging the PnR game really puts the pressure on 2nd options and shooters. Then you have Shai giving everybody and anybody the business every night.
The problem is, Cade is our only creator, and their game plan was to defend Jalen Duren. Without Duren, Cade have no one to play with him. Killian Hayes, Ausar Thompson and Isaiah Stewart are inept offensive players.
Killian has been attempting to shoot open 3s and it has been a disaster. Stewart has been affraid to shoot open 3's because he is bad, and then he is trying to do stuff he is not capable of doing on the perimeter and that's resunting in dumb TOs, and Ausar has been attacking in traffic and his handles are still bad, so he is also forcing some TOs.
It's very easy to stop Detroit right now, well now with Duren out it's even easier but with Duren, OKC proved all you need to do is clogg the pick and roll and we're done.
