I also just think we didn't match up with their bigs as well as we thought we would have. I haven't looked at box score or anything, but eye test didn't look good.

Also, we only lost by, what, 12? It felt like a lot more. Giddey lit us up in the second half.

Just felt like a really off night, which is what I'm hoping it was. I refuse to let go of my optimism already.

Dort and Chet are both playing like DPOYs right now. Having Dort on your best creator and Chet clogging the PnR game really puts the pressure on 2nd options and shooters. Then you have Shai giving everybody and anybody the business every night.

The problem is, Cade is our only creator, and their game plan was to defend Jalen Duren. Without Duren, Cade have no one to play with him. Killian Hayes, Ausar Thompson and Isaiah Stewart are inept offensive players.

Killian has been attempting to shoot open 3s and it has been a disaster. Stewart has been affraid to shoot open 3's because he is bad, and then he is trying to do stuff he is not capable of doing on the perimeter and that's resunting in dumb TOs, and Ausar has been attacking in traffic and his handles are still bad, so he is also forcing some TOs.

It's very easy to stop Detroit right now, well now with Duren out it's even easier but with Duren, OKC proved all you need to do is clogg the pick and roll and we're done.
Cade simply has to be better he's a TO machine and inefficient so far. He's has to find other ways to get it done out there.

I agree he has to be better, but the team around him is making it impossible. Teams are leaving the innept offensive players to clogg the lane for him and are forcing TOs.

But yes, part of it is on Cade, he should just do the correct play and pass to the inept offensive players and watch them brick more 3's and say "at least I did my job". Ku Khalhil said something like that today or yesterday IIRC.

Yes. I would really like to see Cade get selfish, protect himself and his numbers and stop trying to hide others weaknesses. But maybe I'm to blind by my vast amount of Cunningham stonks. I do think Cade trys to force the best play even if it's a play that makes puts him in a position to fail, it's a big reason I like him. Imo it's a big reason Kobe was realitivley more inefficient than he could have been, but won almost as much as any ATG SG not named Jordan.
