Seriously. I can't remember there being more instances watching Pistons games where the game is stopped because of kicked balls from opponents.

Now when I stop and think about it the number of times that Cade is successful with these passes versus when he loses the ball as a result it's about even. Even at best!

That is unacceptable. Why, as a player, would you ever continue to do something over and over when these are the results?

I don't know if folks are afraid to say something to him or what. But he needs to make a different decision there. Kick it out, avoid driving into double teams, whatever. But as a player it is your responsibility to recognize when something isn't working and then adapt and do something else. To continue doing the same thing is just asinine.

Sorry for the rant.

Monty almost seemed frustrated with Cade in one of his post game pressers asking about his TOs.... said if he see's the double coming and he doesn't have a clear passing lane he just needs to pull up and shoot that shot before the double gets there because its too many times he's waiting too long and then getting doubled and he's in trouble.

That's true in a functional offense. When the lane collapses on every single play though? That just means that 100% of our offense would just be cade taking mid range jumpers. The fundamental problem is that cade is getting doubled or tripled on every play and the lane is insanely crowded because teams aren't guarding any of our guys on the perimeter.

I'm 100% convinced that if you put a cade and duren pick and roll out there with 3 guys who could hit shots, this offense would look entirely different. Cade would still have stuff to work on, but it wouldn't be this glaring issue.

If Cade has that open jumper he should shoot it 100% of the time. It should be automatic. It's way better than him trying to force things down the throat through a mass of arms and legs in the paint.

Eventually teams will need to adjust to that and that is when things will open up a little. They'll need to respect that jumper more than they are now.

I freely admit that things will improve at least slightly once Duren is back. But Cade has to be able to function or adapt when he isn't there.

I really liked how they played for about three fourths fo this game. Cade deferring as a response to all of the defense shading towards him was smart and I thought Ivey played winning basketball in particular. We just reverted back to some bad habits in the end.
