Personally, I love it. We were getting out hustled out here. There were too many times where the Raptors cleaned up their own fast break and our guys were at half court. Let’s see if this lights a fire and if this some sort of turning point.

Hum, I'm probably giving too much unnecessary information about myself, and will look like an ****, but this is not my intention.
I have a master's degree in leadership from Brown University, under professor James Tucker.
I don't like what Cade did, at all. I am 100% against it.
The whole concept of leadership I learn, and I agree 100% with it, is that the leader should be infront, and pulling the rest, leading by example, getting others involved. Not behind people, pointing fingers and giving orders.
That's why I admire Ben Wallace so much.
Cade started the season playing the best basketball of his young career. With a lot of energy, playing fantastic defense, and hitting his shots, he had his flaws, but his first 4 games or so were amazing.
After that Portland game, he has not been the same.
Monty said after that game, that he played Cade and Sasser too much, and they were gassed at the end, so they couldn't execute and finish the plays.
What I am trying to say is. I love Cade's game and I have a lot of sympathy for the situation he is in. He is super frustrated, and he is right to be frustrated. He's been asked to do too much, and even when he execute it, his teammates fail to finish what he did.
However. He is part of the reason why our effort has been bad. He is not playing defense, he is not fighting for rebounds, he's been getting TOs due to lazy passes.
Instead of point fingers and complain, he should increase his intensity, especially on defense, and pull the rest of the team with him.

I’m not a big fan of it either, but because it’s probbaly either put up or shut up for cade in his teammates eyes maybe? Why say it now when you don’t have duren and haven’t had bojan or morris. No doubt they would all help.
I don’t think it’s going to be good tonight Denver just got blown out by cleveland. It’s just interesting to me the timing could’ve waited a little and like you said try to lead by example. He still can do that, but he might’ve rubbed some guys the wrong way idk.

100% he is correct they have been bad but the best teams have guys at the top that lead by example with their work ethic, heart, hustle, etc. Always best for your leaders to look at what they aren’t doing first and foremost before mentioning anyone else not doing enough.

Pistons have a positive scoring differential in minutes played with Cade off court this season. They're down maybe 200ish points with him on the court.

Let's playin for 9th!

I mean I don't follow this team closely or come to this subforum frequently, but its probably because he gets the opportunity for lots of shots and assists, he's not detroying the league, so he has good and bad games, good and bad streaks, there's not much more to it then that. You probably shouldn't judge a man on 4 games at the start of the basketball season, then when he sucks, wonder why he "changed". I find it preposterous.

In what way? What obvious things have I gotten wrong about Cade or the team? Literally the only thing I've suggested is that players have good and bad games I think lol. And that Cade gets a lot of opportunities to creatre points and assists. So I'm not sure what insider knowledge you'd need to make those claims. I guess I could be wrong.
I would love to get some feedback from a pistons fans on whatever bad takes I have through their expert knowlege and unbiased thinking and perceptions from watching more than I have.
Do you mean that its obvious Cade was some changed man 4 games into the season and then something changed or something? Homers often follow their team and favourite players closely and thus develop bad takes or strange loyalties/beliefs on their team and players.

I have absolutely no interest in discussing a subject with someone who have no idea what he is talking about.
Watch a few Piston games and then come back and we can talk.

What am I wrong about? I was gonna watch the raps/pistons game but I mean if I did I would just end up with the perception the Pistons are very bad, so I gave it a skip.

Claims I've made are the pistons have a plus differential in minutes Cade hasn't played this year. This one actually surprised me as I assumed they'd be quite bad without him, you might not have known that. But maybe I shouldn't be surprised as it's obvious the bench is really good I don't know.
Cade takes a lot of shots and is responsible for a lot of playmaking and has been inefficient. Yeah this take is horrible too.
And Cade has good games and bad games and you shouldn't judge him 4 games into an nba season.
I guess I'll say good day sir.

If Cade is putting in the extra work, I sure hope he is working on his shooting and making less turnovers.

Given that this wasn't the case in his first 2 season, it could have something to do with Monty's brilliant strategy of starting him next to 4 dudes that can't score to save their life. Just a hunch. Took the guy like 11 straight losses to finally put a second scorer (Ivey) in the lineup.

Wasn't really thrilled to see this in public. Seems like something better handled behind closed doors. And the way cade has been playing defensively, he probably should have been pointing a finger at himself as well. But...... he came out and delivered his best defensive game of the year. He's going to need to do that consistently if he wants monte to put some shooters out there with him. He's not going to rest and get to guard the opposing teams third perimeter option.

Man this got ugly fast. Vege is 100% right. Cades careless turnovers are infuriating and then come out pointing fingers.
I was very against Vege criticism of Troy Weaver but I'm open to the conversation now. He's gotta pull something out of his a**. God forbid he goes and gets another reclamation project or big man that he's what 0 for 10 on.

I would think Cade had good intentions on calling the Pistons “bad”. He could have done it differently but the bottom line is, I think he is just saying the team (himself included) need to work harder.
