If cade looks this much better with some mediocre shooters around him, imagine what he would look like with actual floor spacers.

One thing that has always stuck out to me is what the hell coaches see in Livers and what some of the posters see in him. I'll just start by saying that Livers seems like a good guy and is easy to root for but what does he do well? Can somebody tell me? He defends at a reasonable level but he's far from a lockdown defender, doesn't shoot well (brick, airball etc. in the 4th yesterday) so basically he's an average defender that can't score much. He should never EVER be starting over Ausar, that's just ridiculous.
Stewart is another one. He showed some signs early in the season but this guy can't be in your starting lineup. Another one that was missing wide open shots with Cade feeding him.
I know everybody likes to get on Cade for not being some superstar that can carry the weight of an entire franchise including myself at times but I'll repeat what I've been saying a million times. Get this guy some freaking help already. My God
Seeing these plugs in Livers and Stewart missing shot after shot with Duren on the inside who can't create anything offensively is poison to my eyes.
It's not that livers is great. It's just that he is the type of player you need to put out there with Cade and Duren. He defends well. Not just his man, but he can switch multiple positions without causing a mismatch. And he hustles to the ball and isn't afraid to dive for it. Offensively, he's a good shooter. Missing a couple shots doesn't mean he can't shoot. He's 37% on 4 attempts per game in the nba playing limited minutes. He also is an actual floor spacer and doesn't hesitate to take that shot when we are open.
It would be fantastic if we had multiple forwards who could do those things better than livers, but at this point, we don't.

BINGO.
He does nothing particularly well. He's average at 3 and average at D. And then it goes down from there.
He was promising at Michigan before all the injuries. Very good college player. The injuries took a toll and the timing of the injuries was heartbreaking. Two years in a row he missed the tournament after suffering late season injuries. Everyone felt gutted for the kid. And did I mention he's a Michigan kid who went to Michigan?
That's where all the love comes from.
But today, in the land of reality, he's a middle bench talent. The talk of him being more than that is almost cringeworthy. Want to know how to become the worst team in the league? Overvalue the average talent on your roster.

It's becoming pretty clear at this point that overvaluing average talent is Weaver's most prominent skillset.

Weaver being obsessed with going after guys he had high draft grades that clearly are low IQ negative bust players such as Bagley,Wiseman,Knox drives me nuts. Whenever we take these shots you'll see some fans justify it with things such as "cheap contract doesnt matter or the classic one that I've rarely ever see happen "worst case we can use as an expiring later". When you constantly have these kinda bums around they can have affect on a young teams culture.
Fans need to remember when you trade for a Wiseman and Bagley and they stink it doesnt mean their gone next year. It could mean you're watching said player for years. No telling the damage having Bagley and Wiseman around has done to a very young raw talented prospect like Durens development on and off the court.

A lot of Killian and Stewart mistakes in there

I'm thinking the coach doesn't like him, he's played well this year for the most part, just no minutes.

+1 on not enjoying the screaming but I do wish that folks on the Pistons coaching staff looked at this. These feel like a lot of correctible mistakes (especially the idea of knowing where your help is coming from and forcing your opponent into it).

We're good setting up the help but we're terrible forcing the opponent on the help which is infuriating.
And Bagley is just awful and dumb, he always back to drop coverage allowing a ton of free open shots almost every play. That's why I hate him.

Mute before playing unless you want to hear Gilbert Gottfried screamimg at the top of his lungs.
And this is EXACTLY the stuff Monty should be correcting.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy
