For some reason, I can envision Booker and Draymond agreeing to sign as free agents and go back home.

man either him or chet would be amazing on this team. having two big play makers and shot creators like cade and paolo would be so fun to watch.

Yeah, Cade wanted Paolo in that draft. So it goes.

I’ve spent a lot of time in both the Bay Area (San Jose) and Phoenix area (Scottsdale) and not at any time did I have the desire to go “home” to Michigan.

This the third time hearing from people who were from the Flint area who left... I just hung up the phone on one who is from Detroit, moved to SF for 35 years, came back to MI, went back to SF, came back to MI, and just left for Oakland yesterday.
I have been to SF in 2014 and 2016, but I was just there to see Mort Sahl.
As for Booker and/or Draymond, it's the Pistons they would be playing for. They all seem to have homes in LA for post-career, and Draymond probably has one in Atlanta when he takes over after Barkley retires.

I think we need to stop putting cade in this primary ball handler (Luka) role, he is far better off ball or secondary creator at this point in his career. That starting lineup we played against the cavs of Hayes, Ivey, Cade, Stewart and Duren was the best this team has to offer right now. The missing piece to that lineup is a stretch big or Evan Mobley/JJJ/ Alex Sarr to put in at the 4.

I'd like to see Bojan in that lineup over Stew and let Stew be the small ball stretch 5 off the bench to pair with Ausar so that the spacing works when Ausar is in.

Guess that depends what you mean by "primary". Cade is going to be our main playmaker. He's going to lead the team in touches and assists. What shouldn't be happening is him dribbling up the floor, and running a high pick and roll 100% of the time. The thing that really makes him a good prospect is his versatility. He can hit a spotup, you can post him, you can curl him off screens, he can pick and pop and pick and roll, and he can run in transition. No reason to make him a completely predictable player and let the defense just tee off on him.

Re: Backcourt mate for Cade
With Denver, Morris at PG took a playmaking back seat to Jokic while hitting threes at a 39% rate. He has experience in that collaborative role and looked to be an excellent partner for Cade. I think Weaver had the right idea, just bad luck with injuries.
For now, might as well find out what we needed to know last season. I'd partner Ivey with Cade as much as possible until Morris is healthy. If something develops, great. If not, this is the time to find out.
