I was done with him several injuries ago.
The thing is with most of these young losers is that there is NO thier, there.
Im so done with the patience b.s., tee him up and launch him out of town.

Re: Livers
Livers showed rookie year similarities to guys like Afflalo & KCP. Low number of "rookie" mistakes. Decent stroke. Solid defender.
But injuries aside nothing has really manifested. The stroke is broke. The efense is too. And you can't actually set the injuries aside. It's a thing.
Of course he'll probably go on to the be the next Brown or Middleton, but whatevs

He’s like Cade, he only plays well under good conditions, solid coaching and high end teammates

Fringe NBA player who can’t stay healthy, who’s connection to the state of Michigan was a major factor in remaining a part of the conversation as long as he has.

He's a guy who could get us a top-55 protected second rounder, which is more than what he's giving us now.

meh. He's a 3/4 with size who has/had potential as a 3&D guy. Doesn't look like he's going to develop though. We should keep taking swings on guys like that. It's really depressing watching us most nights when other teams roll out a seemingly endless stream of decent 3&D roll players and then look over at our squad and see livers as the most promising guy in that mold. It's not like this is a new trend in the NBA or something.

Re: Livers
I would always keep the his guy around for cheap and an extra piece, cause he compliments alot of players and lineups if he’s a threat to make shots, but he’s hurt so much u could never depend on him to be more than a fifth forward, or even sixth, but I also think he’s a guy who excels and looks great next to Superstars, and if we let him loose he hits stride on a team where no one is thinking about him at all.

Re: Livers
yeah i don't know if the injuries have taken their toll but it is a bit disappointing, he looked like he could've been a good 3&D guy off the bench.
don't know how he lost his shot though, he shot over 40% from 3 in his last three college seasons, over 40% as a rookie then it dipped to 36% last year and now he's at 25%.

No one on the team can shoot right now, regardless of past history. It's mind boggling.

I think it shows how destructive a deep tanking and losing culture is on developing player morale and confidence. You can't just draft best player available year after year, throw it all together and expect it to just work.

Re: Livers
It's tough to judge many of the youngsters this season, as all but Hayes seem to have regressed. Livers is cheap and missed quite a bit of developmental time thanks to the injuries. I'd give him some minutes to see if he can regroup. He still can be a good complementary piece if the team comes around.
