Troy Weaver and Tom Gores in hiding??? We haven't heard or seen from them in weeks...

Post#1 » by bstein14 » Fri Dec 22, 2023 4:08 am

Why aren't we getting any interviews from Weaver or Gores? Last week a bunch of Pistons Toys for Tots charity events had Gores' brother in Law but not Gores. Why isn't ESPN or TNT or someone from the national media doing some interviews... Where are the local beat writers with comments from management and ownership on this losing streak.

Full disclosure, I haven't watched the last 5 games so maybe I'm missing something but I don't recall seeing Weaver or Gores at a game since early in this losing streak way back in November. WHERE ARE THEY?

You really think they care to be anywhere near this team?

After Weaver wrote that letter at the end of last season, and now with us just over a third of the way through this season with a record of 2-26 on a historic losing streak, he should be obligated to front the media.

But he won't because this organization has no accountability.

They need to come saying they have a plan and to be patient and the plan involves free agency this summer. Then they need to drop all the remaining ticket prices by 50% or more, install a dollar hot dog deal, and $1 fries on the menu , $1 waters, and ask the fans to be the sixth man for the rest of the year, enjoy the NBA and their young players as they grow, in a pledge to go all in this summer.

On one hand they should have to answer questions from the public about this disaster. The fans are owed an apology. Lots of people have wasted time and money on a product that has been far, far worse than we were told it would be.

On the other hand I really doubt either man has anything to say that I’ll care to hear.

Apparently Gores took questions from a select group of media today.

Have no fear we'll be treated to a Weaver sighting soon when this fool gets bamboozled in a Duren trade for some no upside nonshooter!
