He cuts like a knife, sure, but can he make threes or play defense?
I'm finding it hard to believe we're in heaven about this move.

Let's all be real here for a second;
All wins are going to come from Cade continuing to play like an animal, night in, and night out.
Real change is firing Monty out of a cannon, and making substantial moves for a legitimate 4.
Until then, SCOFF.

I don’t blame Monty for a poorly constructed roster. Bad drafts and trades are squarely Weavers fault. I agree our biggest need is a four. I don’t think that we should let Weaver be here for it.

I blame Monty, who's job is to get the maximum out of his team, for playing what players he does have either too much, in the wrong position, or at all.DetroitDon15 wrote:zeebneeb wrote:Let's all be real here for a second;

It is painfully obvious to anyone with a pulse, that Cade needs space in which to operate. Now over the past seven games he has broke through, and just does whatever the hell he wants now apparently, but he played off of Kevin Knox a last minute addition for a million bucks, better then Stewart, who just signed a 60million $ contract.
That is soley on Monty.
Maximum shooting, and athleticism around Cade is the ONLY way to go. Stewart is out for a few weeks, but I'll bet anything that if he was back this game it would be;
Cade
Ivey(begrudgingly)
Bojan
Stewart
Duren
When its obvious;
Cade
Ivey
Bojan
Knox
Duren
For maximum benefit. People can argue with that all they want, but it gives Cade shooting all around him, and a LOB threat at the 4 which Stewart is not, and Knox can, and has created his own shot, which again, Stewart can not do. Same with Ausar.
Upgrade Knox, and away the team goes, IF numbnuts plays the correct rotations. No all bench units, no groups of all non-shooters helped by Hayes, e.t.c.
A different coach, and this team is not 3-30 or whatever the insane record is right now. Casey would have done a batter job. That, is sad.

Re: The changes Gores promised have begun
The change needs to be a different GM and head coach. But that may not happen for a while, the coaching one in particular.

Re: The changes Gores promised have begun
I hate to say it, because I've been a supporter of his potential in the past, but we've been playing Killian too many minutes. I'd be he's playing a lot of those third quarter minutes where we're getting killed. Those minutes should go to Sasser, to experimenting with Ausar at the point, or we should stagger Ivey and Cade more. I think it's time to move on from the Killian experiment. The guy's a hard worker and there's a lot to like about him, but I hope he gets traded at this point.
