Stanley Umude

Post#1 » by vege » Fri Feb 9, 2024 8:48 am

The guy have been super solid every single time he played for us. I didn't watch the game against Portland, but again, he put up good numbers, he plays decent defense, have decent size and is shooting insane numbers, before going 3/4 from 3 against Portland the guy was shooting 52%!!!!!!!!!! from 3 on almost 2 attempts per game.

24 years 6'6" 210 with a 6'10" wingspan can play the 2 and the 3.

Every time he played 15 or more minutes he scored in double digts and he is nothing special on defense but he is at least average and have a good BBIQ.

Cut a scrub we got from a trade (Fournier please) and give him a 3 years minimum contract, with 2 years being unguaranteed. He deserves it, he is a rotational piece.

He looked like a solid piece early in the season when we were dealing with a lot of injuries and then he was inexplicably relegated back to the G-League and forgotten about despite our need for outside shooting. He deserves a full-time contract, at least for this season.

He's looked solid enough every time he's played so you'd hope he gets a chance after all the trades

Yeah I was thinking he's certainly worth a minimum contract next year to be one of our 12th -15th guys. He's been solid every time we've gone to him this year.

Certainly better than what Livers was to us this year. We really should have called up more of these guys since they're definitely hungrier for a stretch of games

Yeah, no idea why he hasn't seen some more burn. He's shown enough that it's worth taking a longer look at him.

Should have been playing all along.

This team started ISAIAH LIVERS (and Knox) and sent this man to the G-league. Disgraceful. Props to Umude for staying ready.

When you really go back through all of the obviously terrible rotation decisions from Monty, it's hard to fathom that he coached games in the NBA finals. Worst head coach in the association.

Monty's going to realize Umude is pretty good in about nine months, give or take. It might take a bit longer while Monty tries to figure out the new guys.

Monty is like a chef that doesn’t know how to use his kitchen.

Hopefully from his couch at home, in a state of unemployment. He'll be lying there watching TV and he'll suddenly sit up and have his eureka moment... "Umude! I should have played him. That's on me. I gotta eat that"
