I'm pretty happy with this. Tobias gets ragged on for that Knicks playoff series (and in fairness he was terrible), but outside of that he's been a fairly consistent starting level PF for many years now, and provides enough 3 and D to slot into our lineup easily. And a very reasonable 2 year contract.

If we can't have Boban, Tobby and Bobby works for me. :)

I would’ve preferred to go for a different player at a different position considering we already have Fonteccio who I think is a better defender and shooter than Harris, and would also prefer to always either have Ausar or Holland on the court.

Technically we already have our Bobi - Bobi Klintman from the draft!

$40 million a year for Tobias Harris and Tim hardaway Jr. I guess that wasn't the off-season I was hoping for.

Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Price of tanking multiple years. No one wants to play here

Yeah and the odds changing, tanking isn’t what it used to be.

For sure. Even if we'd gotten a top 3 pick instead of a top 5 pick in some of these drafts, it could've been transformative (we could be, at the very least, in a Houston or Orlando situation).
