Per Basketball Reference. Player's total minutes divided by all 11 games. Some rounding.

C Jalen Duren (23) / Isaiah Stewart (19) / Paul Reed (8)
PF Tobias Harris (32) / Simone Fontecchio (14)
SF Tim Hardaway Jr. (25) / Ron Holland (13) / Simone Fontecchio (4)
SG Jaden Ivey (28) / Malik Beasley (16) / Tim Hardaway Jr. (3)
PG Cade Cunningham (35) / Malik Beasley (10) / Marcus Sasser (2)
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Most of those look off. eg Ivey is at 32 mpg. Stew is at 22.

There must be some sort of different breakdown that Laimbeer is using because the numbers are oddly specific.

I easily see the global totals that Bill is referring to. But I also know that there is no way that Jaden Ivey didn't have significant minutes spent at the PG position as well; which is not at all shown in the original breakdown. And there is precedent for a player being listed at more than one position (Malik Beasley) in Laimbeer's totals so it's not just that a player's primary listed position is used...

Very strange...

Edit: I just tried doing some basic searches for "Minutes played by position NBA 2024" and landed on some very weird numbers:
https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/minutes-played-nba-players-by-position

Intuitively I would figure that there are always going to be an equal number of minutes for each of the 5 positions; as at any given time for every team there is always a PG, SG, SF, PF, and C on the court. But not so according to the above, where the total minutes numbers for the positions are 13891, 22913, 14088, 13295 and 11200.

My only explanation for this is a tally by listed primary position of players and teams using small-ball / stretch lineups without a true center frequently.
