Re: #31 - Pistons@Kings - 10pm ET
I find it weird that Fox #9 on some MVP ladder rankings..
Cade definitely deserves an All-Star spot... 25/10/7, shooting almost 40% from 3, improved defense... And if they care about winning, well, we're not only winning, but coaches have to use context. We lost 28 games in a row last year. We've always exceeded last year win's totals and we're still in 2024.

i watched the first half then went to sleep woke up and saw the 114-113 game graphic on fb. went on youtube and watched the insane last 4 minutes of the game and when fox threw up that half-court shot and bricked it the crowd boo'd crazy. that was amazing to watch.

When Fox threw it up, I think all I could do was hope... and stare at the basket and think "Don't come near this thing"

Since Jesus wouldn't want Jaden to say it, I'll say it for him; f*ck Monty Williams.

I hope someday the real story of wtf happened last year comes out. Then again, maybe Ivey doesn't work as hard in the offseason if Monty hadn't screwed him?

Re: #31 - Pistons@Kings - 10pm ET
I just wonder if Beasley lets us know if we have a good chance to re-sign him... I would NOT want to trade him at the deadline, but he did sign a 1-yr deal I'm sure hoping he'd play well and go sign with a contender. Or take the most amount of money. I think he's our 2nd best player and hope we re-sign him because we know what we're going to get... We didn't get the Tobias we thought we signed, because he was on another team.. You can't just substitute stats. I believe in the eye-test and not just basketball; but I think he provides a lot of energy, positivity, leadership, confidence (and the funniest line in years; AD FT "Ayooo").

I feel like the last few years we've had several "players only meetings" from other teams right after we beat them but this is the first coach fired right after a Pistons W.

This. Although certain posters on the GB will throw up a rTS% or EPM number and use that to trump all the other data and suggest that Cade is not an All-Star. Madness.
And interesting that Brown was fired especially when he was extended not that long ago. Apparently he did tell his players to foul our guys before the final three point attempt last night and they didn't listen. Maybe there were some locker room issues and this firing was coming, but this game must've been the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back.

Great video. Especially liked the mic’d up celebrations after the buzzer.
Great play by Ivey. But Beasley is cold-blooded. Yikes.

We've set a pretty low bar, but goddam it feels good to get some road wins.

Concerning that, this is shocking.Cowology wrote:We've set a pretty low bar, but goddam it feels good to get some road wins.
Magic-7-10
Bucks-5-8
Heat-5-8
Hawks-7-7
Pacers-7-12
Pistons-9-9
It is extraordinarily difficult to win on the road in the NBA, and doubly so for a young team. The fact that they are .500 after 38% of the season, says a TON about the team.
5-8 at home. This is why I'm really excited for the team. You flip that home record, and they are sitting in the 7th seed.
Crazy.

Weren't the Pistons #10 in attendance last year? You'd think it would naturally go up, and hopefully a better record.

i went to a few games last year and it was pretty empty... like half full maybe slightly more than half... some of those may have been tickets that sold but was no where close to full like the Palace used to be back in the day.

I've been wondering the same thing. Dude posted constantly on a daily basis. Including on July 14, which was the last day he posted. And his last post was not a goodbye post or a blow-up post. Just a regular, standard post. But that was suddenly it. He hasn't even logged onto the site since July 14. Seems ominous, but hopefully not.
