To me, it's a talent based league, but the timing still has to be right.

Best way to get talent is still the draft, but if you can get a player that is near Cades AGE and realistically helps Cade BEAT Wemby, Shai/Chet, Sengun & Houston, Boston & Porzingis, and Paolo/Franz... then I say go for it this year.

In other words we need a competitive stretch 4/5 that can defend and shoot 3s.

It can be Bam, it can be Myles Turner, it can be Cooper Flagg... it can be a hidden gem somewhere in the trade market or draft.

With the way Ausar and Holland are stepping up, I'm not worried about anybody's wings anymore... a vet PG like Brogdon would be nice, but all this team really needs is that stretch big that can really compete.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

We've had nationally televised games taken away from us in the past as the season has progressed and we've looked terrible, but could this be the year we gain a national game or two? Pistons have been getting a lot of mainstream media attention recently, due to both the exciting close games and Cade beasting. Would be good to see the team rewarded with a bit more exposure.

Imagine how good he'll be if he ever figures out halfcourt offense!

He would be the whole package if he could shoot

HIs ball handling and finishing could be a lot more fluid too. He has all the athleticism in the world, but if he can't dunk it to hell and back, he struggles a bit when he's up in the air.

He has a great personality, though, and is exactly the type of guy I expect to continually improve.

Gotta be able to trade our 1st rounder, the final piece to weaver’s masterclass…

Let’s hope we give him his next contract as a non-shooter and he develops the following season

I’d prefer not too… it’s a deep draft.
You don’t have to trade a draft pick, just wait for a team that needs cap space to give up on the right guy for your squad.

It could even be somebody like Taylor Jenkins who has the same injury as Ivey…

Or you could just draft the next Kelel Ware or Yves Missi. These guys are in every draft, they can really hit if you have the minutes to give them. The Pistons are a perfect fit for the next 3&D center
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
