22 means no improvement to me and Monty would’ve done the same with this roster.

24 is okay but it means a Charlotte, Portland, Spurs of last year type of season which I consider to be a failure

27 wins is fair, right direction in my opinion. I think we can get to 30 but it’s predicated on Duren’s health and defensive improvement. At 27 I think that’s the sweet number. Still sucks overall but we won’t be the worst team in the league anymore which is the goal next season in my opinion.

Anyone speaking about tanking anymore deserves the team to fall back to the 5-7th pick again. NBA is very serious about punishing teams tanking and we’ve felt it enough. No conspiracy, losing on purpose is mismanagement and i’m sick and tired of that. How about Ausar Ivey Duren Holland gets better than Cooper? Not possible? That’s why this organization sucks then and will continue to suck even with Cooper. It means we can’t develop anyone and don’t deserve high end talent in the lottery. I truly believe that’s how the NBA operates now. I’m not talking conspiracy, this is a business and I wouldn’t put Wenbenyama on the pistons either with last year’s front office. The punishment brought on needed change and you can all feel it already with all these veterans signed. I’m actually expecting we get in the top 4 in the draft because of our willingness to improve this offseason.

The Pistons dropping 3 to 5 then 1 to 5 then 1 to 5 should be enough to vanquish the tanking talk. Lets see some wins next season and let the lottery balls fall where they may, some might say the Pistons are due.

Either way, I think next season needs to be AT MINIMUM a 25 win season. Young guys a year older, a few decent vets added in, a coach who actually wants to coach here. If the Pistons are under 25 wins next season, it's time to blow up the core IMO.
I'm not expecting miracles like a 40 win season or anything but there's needs to be a big step taken next season. Doubling the win total of last season and just having the look of a team that is on the upswing would suffice.

27 wins was my expectation, it seems they will be overachieving that expectation by a good margin. How many wins now? I think we’re going for 34-37 wins, I highly doubt our roster is deep enough to last the long season to win around 500 unless Trajan gets more depth on the team.

You’re probably pretty close with that 34-37. I really have no clue tho. I’m excited we have a superstar in Cade. Have some other nice youngins too. Holland Ausar duren. Ivey but that injury sucked. A good time to be a Detroit sports fan. Let’s just hope for health and development. I haven’t watched any of the games this year. I do plan on it at some point, but nice to box score watch and see they winning and competing. Cade/vets and new coach doing wonders

GTFO with that 34 win stuff. We are 21-19. To finish with 34 wins for the season would mean we go 13-29 the rest of the way. That's as bad as the tanking teams. We may not stay on this pace, but the only way we revert back to a bottom 5 teams is if Cade goes down.

I think its very possible we play close to .500 the rest of the season based on how we have been playing combined with so many bad tanking teams out there. 38 to 44 wins is the most likely range at the moment and that's guessing we will see at least a few more minor injuries along the way but nothing else major. That puts us at worst 3 wins below a .500 season (41-41)and and best 3 games above a .500 season on the year. Somewhere between a 17-25 finish at worst to a 23-19 finish at best in our 2nd half of the season.

Best case 44-38
Worst case 38-44

I'm one of the most optimistic guys around, but the run the Pistons are on over the past 15 games (11-4) is really, really good, and is in no way sustainable, not at this time.

I maintain that Iveys absence is going to become apparent at some point, and unless Langdon adds the, obvious to anyone with a pulse, piece needed, (another ball-handler)the Pistons will go on a sustained losing streak. (4 games+)

Are the Pistons becoming a good team, I believe so. Will they go 13-29 the rest of the way? That is also incredibly difficult to believe. I could see them going 18-24 though.

This depends on what moves, or lack thereof, Langdon makes.

My guess is we’re probably a fringe play-in team- probably a bit below .500 but not dramatically so.

I voted 27. I wouldn't be shocked to see us in the 40s at the end of the season at this point. I'm happy to just take it one game at a time, though!

Putting it into context yeah 13-29 would be a pretty big fall off, so 40 wins. Let’s do it.

I’ll revise to 38. Think we’re gonna hit another rough patch or two, and Langdon is (wisely) not going to acquire any major upgrades yet.

He should get that backup PG, tho.
