Interesting would’ve expected to see more positivity when we pretty much walk the #2 team in the west on the road.

The Good
1. Cade’s shooting in the third. Phenomenal
2. Duren played excellent defense and ran the rim. This is what drives the Bam comparisons
3. Tobias was great on defense. He stuck his nose in when he usually doesn’t. Shoes veteran leadership

The Bad
1. Cade’s turnovers. Yikes on many of those.
2. The camera angles. Quit trying to get cute and give us a normal broadcast view.
3. Jalen Green - with how bad we’ve been, this is the last guy who would’ve led us out of the abyss. Thank god we got the #1 pick

They played super aggressive trapping/jumping defense on him swatting at the ball and a bit of his hands/arms all night. Not surprised he had a high TO game considering how aggressive they were on him. Cade definately doesn't like how physical Dillon Brooks is with him but playing against guys like that makes you better and makes you learn how to better handle that playoff type of intense defense.

I love to see the emotion from Cade. That was unfortunately lost over the course of last season with the energy-sapping 28 loss streak and then our team not really having much to play for after that.

Yup. I've been really looking out for his emotional outbursts, for the past several years, as it shows passion. This year its hit a new level, as the team success, has translated directly with it.

The one before this season, that I noticed the most, is when he was super pissed at Monty "the saboteur" Williams.

This is a whole different ball of wax, and I'm loving it. He really wants to win.

The Rockets trash talk a lot and I'm pretty sure that he can't stand Jalen Green going all the way back to when they were drafted. The Rockets and Pacers, two of the biggest trash talking teams.

Why wouldn't he stand Jalen Green?

I don't think he thinks about Jalen Green at all, whereas he clearly has some real estate carved out in Green's mind.
Definitely seemed like they were trying to force offense to Ausar a few times. Clearly they wanted to help him show out against his brother.

In rewatching the game, it was apparent right from the jump, that Houston is clearly used to being the most physical team every game.

Detroit not only matched that, they exceeded Houstons physicality, and you can tell that it put Houston back on their heels.

Both these teams got big, physical guys that have zero issue in leveling a player, at any given time, and man, at times it really felt like a fight was gonna get sparked.

My thinking as well. Going back to their rookie years Jalen Green had a bunch of histrionics against the Pistons and Cade never blinked at him. That's the fans that actually care about what he's got going on.

There's no need for Cade to think about a player who was picked behind him who he's also better than. From the word go it was always Green who seemed like he had an axe to grind- he was the one with the sour grapes "oh, I woundn't want to be in Detroit anyway" nonsense.

That said I'm not going to hold anything he said four years ago against him. Jalen Green is good- he's just not Cade good.

Bad use of words. I meant more like doesn't care for him.
There's always seemed to be a little tension there even from draft day/summer league and you can see when they play each other, there's some extra juice in the matchup.

Honestly I think that's projection more than anything.

The pistons had the worst defensive starting lineup with ivey in. Ausar starting we are 14th in the NBA. Not saying I want Ivey traded but we are 8-3 since he got hurt.

"The team is 9-2 in January despite losing Jaden Ivey" - DFP

Imagine if we did trade him a week before his injury for a backup pg and with Ausar starting? We'd be even better.
