Great and all but our last 10 games has been against cupcake teams. We're 7-3. The 3 non cupcake teams were losses. Indy, Atlanta, Cleveland.
So I'm enjoying this but guarded for the future. I do feel better with Shröder leading the bench though
Pistons team stats since Jan 1st. Progress? You betcha.

Context is important. Last year the Pistons were a cupcake team.Canadafan wrote:Great and all but our last 10 games has been against cupcake teams. We're 7-3. The 3 non cupcake teams were losses. Indy, Atlanta, Cleveland.

Takes time, and getting better, to move up in the ranks.
Pistons have already swept the Lakers, 2-1 against the Hawks. 2-1 against the Knicks. Beaten Dallas. PHX. Rockets. Kings. Pacers. Heat. Magic. Wolves. Most if those on the road.
This Pistons team have only struggled with the true elite thus far.
Cavs
Celtics
Nuggets
Not a bad start!

2 of those 3 losses to your non cupcake teams were literally buzzer beaters. One a fade away 23 footer and the other a 30+ footer. I think we've shown we can be competitive against most of anybody.Canadafan wrote:Great and all but our last 10 games has been against cupcake teams. We're 7-3. The 3 non cupcake teams were losses. Despite those 2 back-to-back buzzer beaters, 2025 has been great.. Besides a great record, we've been playing great on both ends, and when we're down, we seem to find ways to win. There's an energy out there you never saw last year. A winning mentality.
