Love it. Good on JB. Hopefully a sign of things to come.

Pretty sure he got hurt

Yeah, he got hurt. But, he's been playing like ass, offensively. Based on last year, he was a steal and should have been playing well enough to make Tobias trade ballast, not be trade ballast himself. I hope he figures out how to not brick.

Yep. He had that play where he was just so wild and outta control and threw the ball away. Was pretty bad.
I'm good with tightening up the rotation to 8 guys and then letting Holland be the 9th

I'd rather play him out of his slump than shut him down. We're going to need the Tek from last year down the stretch and into the playoffs. He'll get there.

Yeah, can't disagree he's been playing horribly. Not sure what's going on with him, but would be really great if he could recover and be a good contributor again.

Man, though, we can get away with a lot of meh play around the edges, because Cade has become a BEAST!

He was pretty much our 2nd best player last year after coming to Detroit... it was a situation where he had no pressure because we were terrible, and he was getting a lot of touches on the ball.

Last season = 15.4 PPG with 47.9 FG% and 42.6% from deep

This season = 6.1 PPG with 38.1 FG% and 32.1% from deep

He's been the weakest player in our rotation. RH2 has been shooting 44% and 24% but he brings more on defense/hustle side.

Schroeder + Beasley + Holland + BBall Paul + Stewart might be a better 5 man bench unit but I understand wanting Paul as a 3rd big when the other two guys get into foul trouble.

I said it very early in Cades career that he really reminded me of Luka, and damn it, im taking a victory lap.

I'm not right often, I think this is the second time ever, so yay me!

Ya hopefully he turns it around, you're right. Would be nice to see him light it up for us down the stretch

Re: Fontecchio-

All I’ll say at this point is I’m glad we didn’t overcommit to him. Would love it if he got it together but I’m not feeling like we need him to.

After every practice the coaches should sit with Ausar and watch half an hour of Dyson Daniels plays. If he could ever learn to get that whistle. Daniels played 38 minutes bumping, reaching, grabbing, and giving two handed shoves and had three fouls. Ausar played 17 minutes of not nearly as physical defense and had five. Daniels was a great get for the Hawks.

Trae is contemptible, but I still find Brunson's antics more annoying.

Let's hope Schroder is finding his footing. He was a big help in this game.

I can understand the worst team in the league last year not getting the 50/50 calls, but we're a 6th seed and Cade is an All-Star.

Considering that:

- Font played great as a starter for us last year
- Font has been awful off the bench this year
- THJ is our worst starter

I'm very surprised they haven't even tried Font in a starting role. If it doesn't work, no harm no foul, but I'd at least like to see a two game trial period or something. Maybe it gets his confidence back.

We're on a seven game win streak. Maybe they don't want to mess with a good thing?
