I wonder where all those posters went or if they will ever come back and say whattup! I still miss Manocad and our drunken escapades whenever I was in Detroit or him visiting Orlando. Good times especially the one when he fell down in the street and his pants fell to his ankles. Laughed so hard. But, I did finally finish my degree while working full time and paying for it in cash not taking summers off cuz I could only pay for 2 or 3 classes at a time. Been a while, but I knew eventually the Pistons would be back. Heck, I patterned my ball game after Dumars with some success in 3 on 3 tournaments.

RIP, Mano. Tragic.

He mentioned he was coming to Orlando to look at boats, but he ended finding one up north. A few months later a boating accident. I been on boats half my life so you learn to be careful.

His ego in here was enormous, but apparently a great guy in real life. Never got a chance to meet him, been out here on the left coast a long time.

My God, my entire adult life feels like it has come and gone watching this team. And they've finally done it. Among my friends IRL I'm really the only one that cared throughout the years about the Pistons. Year after year, I'd suffer while watching this team. Girlfriends one after another that i'd give my speels to about how and why I love this team. All the times I felt that we were actually building towards something only to realize it was a house of cards. Masochistic quite frankly for reasons I'm unsure of.

But the moment that buzzer sounded I knew. That's what I've been waiting for. That's why I've been here the whole time.

A bit late to the party, but this is my first post in over a decade so you can forgive me. 17 years ago I was living the post-college bachelor life. Now I'm married with 2 young kids, a massive mortgage, and a different career to boot. The endless Detroit playoff no-shows (both literally and figuratively) have taken years off my life (again literally and figuratively). That said once a Pistons fan, always a Pistons fan - though hopefully when my kids grow older they'll have more reasons to cheer for the Pistons than "because it's daddy's favourite team".
