Even if the allegations aren't true, bringing a guy with baggage like that into our locker room is just asking for trouble. And that's before we even get to his weight and injury problems.

We could probably get Zion for Tobias staight up. Even if the allegations turn out to be false, he has to be traded from New Orleans

Not a fan of part time players who are on their ass approximately 50 games a season.

There is no team in the league that will trade for him while this investigation is ongoing. It would be a PR nightmare.

He would be a vet with a big voice on our team and that wouldn’t be what’s best for us or him for that matter. Zion needs to be on a team with hard working vocal vets that could hopefully get through to him. He’d ruin the culture and potentially stunt to progress of our young players.

This management team didn't make a move for Miles Bridges last year, they're not touching Zion pending overwhelming evidence.

I don’t expect us to make any kind of play for Zion, and it’s not just him. It’s becoming clear that these huge contracts can just as easily ruin a franchise as do any good. So you had better guess correctly paying anyone $50M a year because it immediately makes finances tighter across the board. And if you f—-k up, you have to attach significant assets to get it off your books. Zion might actually be a safer bet because I don’t think his contract is fully guaranteed. But we got our max guy in Cade. We should (and probably are) looking for guys in the $15-30M range.

Our supposed interest in Myles Turner and Naz Reid is certainly interesting. I could see us making a $100+ million 4 year offer to Turner just so he doesn't get resigned by Indy on a bargain deal since almost no one has any cap space.

I'd love to see us go for Reid or especially Turner. Seems hard to pull off unless we're lettingn a bunch of players go though.

Turner in particular I'm almost certain remains in Indiana.

Randle has a Player Option. Excluding options best FAs are probably Turner & Beasley honestly.

Yeah, will be interesting to see if he exercises it. We all assumed he would before the season, but he may have actually outperformed it now.
