If indy wins tonight that would be the single most unexpected nba champ of my lifetime for me personally. I remember being adamant that I did NOT want to play them in the first round but never thought they were a legit contender.

A torn Achilles for Haliburton really makes the East wide open. Prayers for him and I hope for the best but you could see his calf pop.

Haliburton was killing it from 30-feet away. 3/4 and then injury.

Indiana winning this game would probably be the only justice I see, but it's something. Pistons went through Isiah's injury, and to this day, I get chills and tears watching him play Game 6 and 7 only to be cheated... OKC has received the benefit of the whistle way too many times this series. And I always liked OKC, but they'll be contenders for years - not sure about Indy. I also agree it would be the biggest surprise championship.

Either they play shook up, or win it for him. It's just so sad one of the best players is probably out for the game. Bad for basketball.

Lou Dort makes it easy to dislike the Thunder

I thought we were going to draft Haliburton.

Indiana looks awful without Haliburton. One guy has 90% of their 2nd half points and he has to create everything himself they have no offense against the OKC defense. So much for the ball movement. Indy looked shell shocked after playing tough and close in the 1st half.

Tough way to go. There is no good time to get hurt, but G7 of the Finals? To be on the doorstep? Ugh...brutal.

I feel real bad for Indy. OKC got it, so congratulations, but as a basketball fan, after that great start then season-ending injury, there will always be the what-ifs.

Every player who tore their Achilles these playoffs wore #0.

Siakam played in the games where:

Kevin Durant tore his Achilles
Damian Lillard tore his Achilles
Klay Thompson tore his ACL
Haliburton tore his Achilles

Yeah, rough. It's the risk you take when you decide to play on a strained calf, though.

Yeah...but we're now looking at a situation where 3 teams with legit championship aspirations all suffered the same catastrophic injury to their best or 2nd best player. There is bound to be a TON of off-season conversation around load management & training regimens.

I dunno what the answer is, but it's a real problem.
