Lanier has been meh. Not great, but not bad. Just not a needle mover in any way.

Klintman is too slow to even attack closeouts or open lanes, and on the rare occasion that he gets to the basket (and doesn't avoid contact) he's terrible at finishing through contests; he's likewise bad at scoring around the rim in general unless it's uncontested (this isn't a new problem; he was awful before he was drafted as well). The fact that he's shying away from contact just makes a bad situation even worse.

Even if the shot comes along -- and it was very much not there in the G-League -- he's going to have a hard time providing NBA value on offense. He'll very likely have his issues on defense against quicker players as well, as he's by no means laterally quick.

He was a second-round project pick, and second-round project picks fail much more often than not.

How about we trade them Sasser straight up and rectify the mistake completely?

i think he has a good mind for the game, it's just a shame that his skill and athleticism are nowhere close to where they need to be to play at an nba level. he likely needs 2 of those 3 assets to find a role in the league (like boris diaw did?) but without the requisite skill or athleticism he's in a tough place to say the least.
