Just glad it’s not me saying this first, but I agree. Ivey isn’t ready, and needs to understand what it takes to play for this team. If your defense is going to suck, you better be a true killer spacer like Duncan. Defense first.

This week is the type of opportunity I think when you pick Ivey to play 20+ minutes on one end of the back to back with Jenkins getting 20+ the the other, then plug bball Paul and Green in for 10 minutes in the socond one as well. They both get longer runs, should work best for them and best for us.

I think the extension of the rotation for these short couple weeks is mostly due to minute restrictions after injuries and the fact we had two weeks in a row with 4 games in 7 days, before we have a 6 day break for the tournament. It allowed them to evaluate under real game circumstances and lineups during an overloaded stretch when we had a better than expected record. It could work out for us in the long run, and if we win tonight I think we should really consider the stretch still very good and productive even if a little uneven.

Return to Detroit Pistons
