Chris Paul

Chris Paul was released by the Clips. My initial response was no, but I'm open to arguments otherwise.

100% washed. If you want him as a coach, hire him as a coach.

I don't think he's been released by the Clippers.... They may wait and trade him on Dec 15th when he's eligible to be traded. If they did waive him, they would be on the hook for his salary unless someone picks him up.... on his end he would risk a team picking him up off waivers that he doesn't want to go play for.

I get that there was friction in the organization that lead to the release, but they would not have released him if he was able to perform at an NBA level. They are a team that needs help.

It’s a bad idea.

And yeah, he’s been sent home. They may trade him or release him later. We did something similar with Blake.

If we had brought him in the offseason, sure. He did pretty well for the Spurs, even though they had to overuse him.

Now, no. Even with Jenkins inconsistent role, I’d rather have him than watch Paul struggle to make an impact in that role. More importantly, I wouldn’t bring him in to mess with Jenkins development.

Coaching staff with the Pistons or Cruise next season, sure.

On a side note with how they did him, this pretty much guarantees karma gives the Thunder the number one overall pick (via the Clippers). Thanks you idiotic franchise

Someone with Chris Paul's skills/ability, even if aging, is what we need. Badly. Too bad it's Chris Paul.

My problem with Jenkins is that he can't get to the rim. Schroder worked well for us because, in a addition to being a floor general who thrived under pressure, he had the ability to steal points with drives to the rim.

Chris Paul is definitely the "Big Shot Bob"-type lucky charm we need to get a ring.

It sounds like they are trying to trade him now. What team offers something for him? I can’t imagine it’ll be anything good. It’s basically just the Clippers trying to add any player to their mess of a roster without dead money-ing Chris Paul
