Really? That's wild. What do you see Ivey's ceiling like as a player?

I wouldn't spend that much on bridges

It seems New York would have to include those two players, in addition to draft picks, since I think I heard Milwaukee doesn't want Karl-Anthony Towns.
Preparing a possible simulation, it could look something like this:
Trade successful!
Pistons acquire: Mikal Bridges & Guerschon Yabusele
Bucks acquire: Tobias Harris, Jaden Ivey & OG Anunoby (DET 1st 2026, DET 1st 2028, NYK SWAP 2026 & WAS 1st 2026)
Knicks acquire: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bobby Portis & Thanasis Antetokounmpo (DET 1st 2030)
Opinions?
The logical thing would be for them to keep Ivey and all the draft picks, also trade OG Anunoby for more draft picks, as well as other members of the current roster, and begin a rebuild.

But I guess if they are getting Giannis they would try make anything work and would see themselves as the clear favorite in the East with him on their team.
I mean Tobias Harris can't play more than 5 games in a row without needing a couple games off. At this point what would we even be missing?Mr Peanut wrote:I wonder if New York would be mindful of the fact that we are another East heavyweight and a threat, and would be reluctant to send us OG or Bridges in any trade. OG is a better fit as more of a PF and a better defender. However I get the availability argument which would be the heavy advantage of taking Bridges.

I wanted comment something to this sort but didn't think it needed to be explained that trading Giannis from a sinking ship just to place OG in the Giannis role over rebuilding with picks and young guys/expirings wasn't a good plan whatsoever.Snakebites wrote:Canadafan wrote:In what world would we get OG in a trade with Giannis. People who say things like this, at least IMO, are seriously underestimating just how deep the Bucks troubles run.
You might say a full rebuild without their picks is inviable. I say that trying to win now with whatever win now pieces the Knicks are willing to part with is even more inviable, particularly with limited assets to improve their roster. If winning now was in any way viable whatsoever, they'd be attempting it with Giannis right now.
I'm sure that looping in a team that has the ability to recover some of Milwaukee's own draft capital would be preferred. But rebuilding is the way for them.

I guess but look what Phoenix is doing. Traded kd and now they're looking good. This has happened before where it looks like a team will suck by trading their best player and the. Play well afterwards.
They traded KD for early 20s 20ppg scorer to go with the franchise player who was still there, along with another piece that actually fits the team. This situation in no way would be close to the same. Giannis IS the Bucks. Once he goes, they die. ORRRRRR they can take OG and live on as a vegetable.Canadafan wrote:DetroitSho wrote:I wanted comment something to this sort but didn't think it needed to be explained that trading Giannis from a sinking ship just to place OG in the Giannis role over rebuilding with picks and young guys/expirings wasn't a good plan whatsoever.Snakebites wrote:People who say things like this, at least IMO, are seriously underestimating just how deep the Bucks troubles run.

The Suns still have Booker…
It’s okay to admit you were wrong.
