Quite Frankly, I have no problem with Stuckey getting as many backup guard minutes as possible right now.... He has missed a ton of time and we need him to get acclimated and experienced... He is our X-Factor.

Afflalo is what he is... He is gonna come in and bust his tail off defensively and make things happen... IMO, he deserves to play but I don't think it's as important for his development as it is Stuckeys..

A couple of months from now, hopefully they have a more balanced rotation but theres only so many minutes to go around..

Amir Johnson has been deactivated so that Lindsey Hunter can play in front of Rodney Stuckey and Arron Afflalo. :banghead:

I found it hilarious that Reggie and Marv both were dogging Flip for claiming to want to develop the bench and then not trusting them to actually play even though they are a good deep bench that produces for him. They also brought up how his ass is on the line if he doesn't get this team to the finals. It's bad when everyone can see it clear as day... well besides this mann---->

Mike Fratello went on to claim that the Detroit Bench was the reason they lost to Boston and Dallas because when they came in, Detroit got into a deficit and Flip needs to keep his starters out long minutes in order to win. Did he even watch either game?

I'm sorry. I just can't see where a lot of you are coming from. It's like you ignore what you see to justify all of Flip's excuses or buy all the excuses the media makes for him.

Amir has shown a lot of flashes. Sometimes it's flashes of his ability to score around the rim. Sometimes he shows what a great shot blocker he could be. Sometimes he shows great timing on his rebounds. Sometimes it's the way he can run the floor and get easy baskets in transition.

He's never put it all together and the game often looks fast for him -- but you cannot put it together or have the game slow down by sitting on the bench.

I can see sitting him against bigger front lines but there's been times where Detroit is playing smaller, quicker front lines and they still go with Primo. Doesn't make a ***king bit of sense.

As for this being like his rookie season -- what a horrible freaking excuse. You'll be able to say that next year as well based on the fact that he'll only play garbage minutes again this year.

Afflalo is still Detroit's best perimeter defender over 6'1. There's times when they could use his defense and energy. This team's biggest problem defensively is stopping penetration so the fact that he sits while Hayes gets iso'd and destroyed is aggravating.

Are you freaking serious? I've seen people make stupid statements to defend Flip Saunder's decisions...but that's one of the worst.

Afflalo/Amir/Stuckey/Herrmann combined for 20 pts 10 rebs 3 asts 1 stl on 6-20 (30%) fg and 8-8 (100%) ft in 65 combined minutes.

Amir alone had 8 pts on 3-3 shooting and 2-2 from the line in 12 minutes to go with his 2 boards and 1 stl. Biggest contributer for this group.

Tayshaun/Jarvis/Rip/Sheed combined for 10 pts 10 rebs 2 asts 1 stl on 4-31 (13%) fg and 2-4 (50%) ft in 87 combined minutes.

Sheed alone had 6 pts 3 boards on 3-9 FG in 25 minutes. Biggest contributer for this group.

I've said it numerous times and have been told I am wrong, but Amir and Afflalo NEED to play more.

Maybe I'm not recalling right, but this is the first year he's started the season on Detroit's main squad. Not only that, but he's played more games this year than his previous two years combined.

Plus, early in the season he got consistent burn during non-garbage minutes. No is going to claim next year that "Well, it's pratically his rookie season" especially since he has appeared in over half the games this year, which is more than I expected him to get. This is his rookie season.
