I don't think I'm inferring anything, I just don't get how it applies unless AJ has had a history riddled with injuries. There are 2 basic groups that 'Good players gone wrong' fall into. The "talented player who never put it together" (ala Rodney White), and there is the "talented player whose career was shot by injuries". I don't think an ankle sprain causing him the pre-season puts AJ into the 2nd group.
I guess it's just that I've heard the comparison multiple times before as AJ's "worst case scenario", and I've never understood it.
Anyways, it doesn't really matter. Hopefully we won't be worrying about his "worst case scenario" 2-3 years from now
