Just waived from Seattle. Tough perimeter defender that could guard the likes of Lebron, Pierce, and Hedo. He is from Detroit. After what Lebron did to Detroit in the playoffs last year, it would help to get some help. Thoughts?

No one worth waiving to get him. Lets give Dixon a chance. Defense isn't our problem, offense is, and if Dixon finds his shot during the playoffs, he can really help us.

IMO once Ratliff signs, the roster will be set for the rest of the season.

Yeah; our roster is going to be full. I don't see a chance of us getting him unless we waive Dixon; But I think he could really help us in the playoffs.

We'd have to waive one of Hayes or Herrmann for such an addition to make any sense for us. I guess if either blow out a knee in tonights game the addition would make sense.
Rip Hamilton is a stain on the Pistons franchise.

He's really not that good, and we don't have room. I'd much rather keep Hermann, Hayes, and Dixon for depth.

Well, at least we aren't Cleveland... seriously... Indians, Cavs, Browns... ouch.

No interest in Newble whatsoever. I'm much happier with the Dixon signing.

Didn't Newble trash the team/city a few years back?
Joe was interested in him when he was with Atlanta, I believe, and Newble shot it down for some reason or another. I can't remember what Newble said or how Joe planned on acquiring him, though.

Anyway, Newble is worse than every player on our roster not named Samb.

When did this become one of those boards where every waived player had to get a topic of "should we sign __________, since hes been waived".

Mind you theres only Newble (worse then every other SF we have) and Lue (meh....), so we're not New Jersey worthy where every waived player seems to get a topic.

That was no signing. You acquired him via trade.

Actually, it was. Since I though we drafted him mid season at the ripe age of 27.

I wouldn't be surprised to find Sprewell on there.
