Pistons-Bucks - Joe & John make a deal

Post#1 » by The Penguin » Tue Dec 11, 2012 5:45 pm

Pistons get: Monta Ellis, Drew Gooden, Ekpe Udoh

Bucks get: Rodney Stuckey, Jason Maxiell, Will Bynum

Bucks get capspace, dump Gooden's deal and replace Monta with a cheaper version in Stuckey.

Pistons upgrade Stuckey to Monta, add a young big in Udoh and still have $10 mil or more this summer. Gooden's contract isn't pretty, but it expires with Prince & Jonas and could combine with draft picks to trade for the last piece.

Knight
Monta/English
Prince/Singler/Middleton
Monroe/Udoh/Gooden/Jonas
Drummond/Krav

'13 1st & $10 plus mil in cap room

I don't really have a particular desire to add Ellis to this team, certainly not at the price of acquiring Gooden.

I'd rather pay Mayo then Ellis and Ellis + Gooden will cost way more then a max contract.

Stuckey isn't any version of Ellis....and I don't see the bucks flipping their top player for a sixth man, even if they get cap space. Cap space for them is less useful than it is for us...you thought Detroit had a hard time drawing talent...
