I'm usually skeptical of 3P specialists who can't crack 80% FT. It's rare that you have a JRich or Donkey Jones-type player who can efficiently make threes from all over the place but can't ace his FTs.

English shot 72% from the charity stripe at Mizzou.

I don’t think English is ready, I do believe he could hit a nice percentage from the 3 at this point but he had alot of issues whenever he was chased off the line, fairly out of control off the dribble and made lots of bad decisions on kick outs.

I've seen great three-point shooters who weren't stellar on free throws. Dennis Scott comes to mind. He didn't shoot 72%, but there were years when he was close.

I think that highly of him that hes going to make some huge deals in his career. Hes not going sell used cars or shoes. I hope Im wrong about his NBA career but Im playing the odds on this one. By this time next yr English will be a forgotten player and we will have another future allstar rookie 2nd rd pick that several posters here will think is Backstreet boys+ Nsync+ Bieber all rolled into one.

Why do you think English is studying the Las Vegas summer-league and trying to be a "leader" or "good dressing-room guy" and all these things...? It's because he's not that good at ball that's why.

Seriously, what kind of dude studies the Las Vegas Summer League if they're not playing in it. Makes coaches like you etc but get real.

I don't see why he can't be a decent rotation player. He has a high bball IQ, can shoot the 3 pretty well(not elite, but he can shoot it) and he can put the ball on the floor if you close out on him.

Why does dedication make someone a bad player? Chris Paul watches film from when he was a rookie, which may seem weird...but it's part of what makes him such a high bball iq player.
