Bynum says Stuck should start.. Frank agrees
Looks like it's just a matter of time before Stuck becomes our starting PG, Knight moves to SG, & Singler runs with the bench!!

Interesting. And kinda does make sense. A number of teams have been starting two PG's with decent results and we've been running more of a 2-guard front (ala Arenas/Hughes) anyway. Taking Knight off the ball as our only real shooting threat and allowing Stuck to be the primary could work. Certainly can't hurt to try at this point.

Poor choice of words on my part. Perhaps I just want it to happen so bad that I put the words in his mouth.

That's about as close as Frank got to agreeing!!

If he means what he is saying then the best thing to do for the team is to allow Stuck to be our starting point guard. Therefore he agrees!!
You don't necessarily need to start AD. Just give him 30+ min per game!!

I interpreted this as Frank saying that he's not going to make any moves based on a few games (knee jerk reactions" but he's not opposed to tinkering things (being open to all options), if it benefits the team.
Not that he was ready to put Stuck in the starting lineup because Bynum had a good 3 games- that sounds like a knee reaction to me.

While Frank didn't say "I agree" to the notion, he did say "I don't dispute it".
Which is basically coach speak for "I agree"
Langlois also did a whole article on the topic, making it seem like he was priming fans for lineup change coming.

Personally I'd love to see what we look like with Knight off the ball, as mainly a spot-up shooter. I think Stuckey may finally "get it" as a PG, based on his recent play. Who knows, maybe there's still a chance for Stuckey to be our PG, and Knight can just play his natural position as a shooter next to him. In todays game, it makes sense to have your best penetrator running the point, and your best shooter at SG. In addition, Stuckey is elite when it comes to taking care of the ball, which compared to Knight could be the difference between being a bad offense and a great offense.

Bynum said reversing their roles on the starting group could help restore some ball movement and playmaking to the first unit, while Singler would thrive in the free-wheeling bench unit, to which Frank said, "I don't dispute it."

I looked at it based on a nice sampling of Singler & not Bynum. Bynum will definitely step in it again!! Singler & Knight have been absolutely terrible but in the games Singler has played with the 2nd unit (Bynum, CV, & Daye) Singler has played like he did when he was first promoted to the starting lineup. With Stuck doing so well at PG then perhaps Knight can become the SG we envisioned Stuck to be?
With Stuck being able to penetrate and get to the line, he can dish the ball out to Prince, Knight or Max for the jumper. Moose, Max, Stuck & Prince all have the ability to take it to the hole, Stuck, Prince Knight, & Moose all have good court vision and have the ability to get others involved, Stucks defense is better than Singlers. The list goes on and on but we haven't had a bench since Okur, Barry, Williamson, James. This is a change that should be done ASAP. If the bench becomes consistent and Frank can figure out the right chemistry for the starters then we can become quite a dangerous team. I am personally fed up with Max.. PERIOD!!!

Re: Bynum says Stuck should start.. Frank agrees
I think Stuckey has been our best PG all season. I've felt for a while that Stuckey should play point with knight off the ball. That allows Knight to work into the game. If he start heating up, let him roll.
Knight needs to develop more at PG, but having stuckey there is a good reinforcement when he's not on his game. Stuckey has been more settled with the ball in his hands this season.
Run Stuckey / Knight / Prince / Max / Moose
then have Bynum / Daye / Singler / CV / Dre
That works for me.

Of course bynum would want this. He gets his backup duties back and plays with 3 shooters and an oop target, a pgs wet dream.

It's ridiculous that some people here actually think Bynum would make this statement so he could get more playing time...
We could run 3-gaurd rotation with Knight/Stuckey/Singler and Bynum still wouldn't see any playing time...What Bynum said is true and it's clear as day that Singler isn't a starting caliber player, everyone that knows basketball can see it...

So either they are grasping at straws or they are trying to inflate trade value.

Stuckey and Knight together again? Hmm...
If Stuckey continues to play the way he has off the bench, it could be the shot in the arm BK7 needs for his development. Simplify the game for the kid and let him be an offensive spark. Seattle ran Gary Payton and Nate McMillan together for a minute. Charlotte (Hornets) had a David Wesley and Baron Davis backcourt. The Clippers played CP3 and Billups together.

I justd don't see that back-court working. I love having Stuckey as that combo guard off the bench. I think the Pistons need a legit SG and move Singler to SF where he belongs.

lol this is just because bynum was out of the rotation when stuck came off the bench, he's just worried that when stuck comes back itll be his minutes, not singlers thatll take a hit. i agree though, singler has not been very good lately.

Unless Frank, Dumars, & Gores sends Bynum to the chalk board and makes him write 1000x, "I will not be selfish with the basket ball" and then follows through with that, I think Bynum should come out of the lineup!!

lol,
So bynum thinks the only other player that needs to dominate the ball should get be out of his rotation for a player that can shoot a three.

Bynums trade value is sky high, I suspect that once Stuckey returns, Bynum will be on the way out

highly doubt it, as long as we keep winning and Bynum continues to be a major part of the second unit, don't see him going anywhere. Stuckey i think is going to return to the starting unit as our PG. and singler to second unit
