I think some keep missing the point. This isn't about Monroe being a bad player. It's about him being a better fit somewhere else. He does have value. He could become an All Star starting for the right team at center somewhere else someday. His liabilities will be magnified while his strengths diminished at power forward. Young centers are worth a lot in today's NBA. They're worth a lot more than power forwards who are defensive liabilities. You don't have to be athletic to be adequate defensively at center if you're strong. He can get stronger. He can't get quicker. At center a jump-shot is a luxury and not a requirement to become a top offensive player at his position. While Monroe is considered a young center, he'd probably net a very good player in return. I fear that if he receives a long term, big contract and is exposed at power forward, his stock will drop through the floor.

Because they've only played like 5 min together all year. Not enough sample size for me.
