Well, Bynum could probably get a 1st from a team with injury problems for a late 1st. Maybe.

And, regardless of CV's "Outburst", a team would still have to pay him for another season. Not gonna happen. It is reknown around the league how much CV hates to practice. Pistons would have to give a future first rounder and teams would still have to think about it.

Its funny, we all embraced the resigning at the time when it happened. Since then we've had a disappointing season and this season to show for it. If he doesn't right the ship soon he's looking at a mighty short career.
Problem is where does he fit? When paired with Drummond off the bench it's pretty clear that CV's shooting is winning out. JJ has got to fix his jumper and if he's gonna play the 4 he's gotta be able to rebound.

I'd be inclined to try him out behind Prince again, since that is where he had the most success... but again, both Singler & Daye are much better shooters atm. We'll have to see what happens after the deadline. If any of CV/Max/Daye are gone it could certainly open up minutes. But the onus is really on JJ. Play better, kid.

WTF, JJ had his opportunity and blew it. not the coaches fault he couldn't hit a shot, rebound or defende the 3 or 4 position. GTFO JJ

His performance definitely warranted him getting benched, but I'm a bit surprised he doesn't even get in for garbage time like English did last night. He must be doing something wrong in practice, which is not what I would expect based on the hustle we've seen in the past. Then again, Frank can be pretty stubborn with his rotation once he finds a lineup he likes.

I second this. JJ's situation doesn't really have anything all that interesting to talk about, imo. It happens with competitive players who really care.

Well to be fair jj's stuck between a 3-4. He can't defend either and offensively he's not consistent. CV/Max/Moose have all been consistent. i think the only reason English gets minutes is that if there's a change in the lineup. its going to come from the SG position. Singler has been playing horrible

Ehh I wouldn't say CV or Daye has been consistent. In fact Singler's been better lately too. I'm not saying JJ should get either of their spots, but since CV and Daye have been known to take games off from playing defense, and JJ can play the 3 or 4, I woulda guessed he'd get another chance at some point

Daye and CV haven't gone into a slump since they've entered the lineup. Frank shortens his lineup through the games. Daye and CV have to be on in order to get playing time and even at that, they don't playing. i think Daye was on the bench the entire 4th when he had that 20 point game. So imo, frank has set who he has as a PF in terms of rotation. if he's questioning any position it would obviously be the 2 spot(english). JJ will get another opportunity. The season is too long

Ya I agree about Frank having his lineup and sticking to it. And shortening it as the game goes on. I would argue Daye is in a bit of slump tho, he hasn't made more than 1 shot in a game since his 20 point game. Hasn't scored over 7pts in his last 7 games, but his minutes are down the past 3 games tho. [edit*] he also hasn't grabbed more than 1 rebound in that time

I think Jerebko will get another chance eventually, but its clear he'll have to earn it in practice or have a spot open up for him. He's not getting in for a few minutes just cause someone is having an off night. Like you said, if someone is off one night, Frank will just shorten the rotation.

He is a Pistons fan who now lives in Orlando so he follows the Magic as well. Once again, Vege is on the attack

I really hope he can be traded by the deadline. I've never liked him and always felt he was vastly overrated from day 1.

I hope he's traded but I've always respected Jonas because he plays with a lot of heart...I think he would be a good fit with the Jazz...He could find some minutes playing behind Favors when Millsap is traded...

I liked Jonas because he really got after it. He was a high motor guy who would do whatever to help the team. At some point he overestimated his skillset and thought he was more than what he was and that effected the ferocity he used to approach the game with.

This year he couldn't guard anybody, he couldn't get boards, and he couldn't shoot. If he isn't in the plans, I hope we can trade him for someone who can help us win.

I moved back n forth between Orlando and Detroit since middle school. Anyways, my very first post on RealGM way back in 2003 was on the Pistons board trashing Darko. I am a big NBA fan regardless and like many teams, but Detroit and Orlando I follow intensely. But, I also live 2 miles from the Amway arena and used to have season tickets until this year. So naturally, I am involved in the Magic a bit more to a degree as I also do game threads there on occasion. But, I have been following Detroit since around 1984/1985 when Joe D. was drafted.

The greatest sports experiences in my life involved both of Detroits championship runs. Just being a part of those teams struggles in the years building up to winning it all were amazing. And, the 2nd ship I got to share with people here.

Anyways, one gets used to having a thick skin on RealGM as many people like to throw stuff out there. I actually get a kick out of it. I like negative and positive feedback.

Very true. But, on many teams, coaches frown on dudes who slack in practice. I have a deep feeling that CV is just not valued anywhere in the NBA. Especially, at $8 mil plus. I bet teams wouldn't be willing to trade a 1st for him even if he was making $2 mil per right now unless he was a true expiring. Just a maybe even then.
