Ticket exchange?

I was gifted with a cheap ticket for a Pistons home game next month. I'll likely be out of town and won't be able to make it.

I'd like to trade the ticket for another ticket to some other game where I will be in town. I'm not picky.

How does that work? I suppose I could go through Craigslist or whatever, but there's lots of ticket exchange setups if I believe Google. Anything/anyone I should avoid? The only time I ever traded tickets involved concerts, not sporting events.
