Is this realistic?
Maxiell
Clipper's 2nd rounder
for
Lamb
Maynor
OKC :
Westbrook / Jackson
Sefolosha / Martin
Durant / Liggins
Ibaka / Maxiell
Perkins / Collison / Thabeet
OKC Gets what they need most - frontcourt depth. Maxiell will be an extremely valuable asset to them, especially in the playoffs when they will need extra big men to throw at the Western Conference big men; Dwight, Duncan, the Gasols, Griffin, AlJeff, Milsap, Faried, etc. A bonus to this deal is Maxiell's expiring contract. They are in win-now mode, so re-signing a win-now guy like Martin will be their #1 offseason priority - they don't have the luxury to wait on Lamb's development. So this trade clears cap fpr them to do that and they also retain maxiell's Bird Rights in case his play merits them re-signing him as well for cheap.
US: We gain two young assets to add to our young core moving forward
Knight / Maynor
Lamb / English
Singler / Middleton
Monroe
Drummond

Re: Trade Idea with OKC
Jeremy Lamb is not a scrub, in fact he has shown more than PJIII. He has been dominant in international play (Junior World Championships). He was a major contributor as a freshman when UCONN won the title. He was the only positive in his last season of turmoil at UCONN.
The kid was a monster in summer league. He crushed the D-league. The only reason he isn't getting time now is because he's on a stacked title contending team with young talent. Still with his versatility, he just might break into the rotation next year....if they keep him.
I'd like to take a moment to admire OKC championship implementation plan. They've drafted really well. They haven't over paid any of their stars. They've been able to make changes without disrupting chemistry. They could even move toward trading Perkins and still be in a position to contend (especially if their takeaway is Marcin Gortat).
In reserve they've got:
Kevin Martin for instant offense
Reggie Jackson (lethal outside shot and deceptive athleticism)
Nick Collison (gritty defender)
Perry Jones III (insane ceiling...questionable motor...will benefit greatly working with Durant)
Jeremy Lamb (lanky sharp shooter with the ability to create his own shot)
Eric Maynor (capable of running an offense, has had difficulty returning to the rotation since his injury)
I'd love for us to grab a couple of guys from their bench or at least have the same success of building a contender via the draft and shrewd trades.
