Yeah thats whats been reported, but the timetable was 4-6 weeks, so he could still come back in 4 weeks and be in line with the original timetable.

4 weeks from the injury diagnosis is March 9th. If you define "a week or so" as about 10 days from now, that would be March 6th. . So he could technically still be on the same timetable like they are saying, but just be returning at the earliest point of it, instead of the latest.

Man I hope so. Hopefully he comes back and picks up where he left off. Since he probably isn't doing any contact drills, hopefully he's been at the charity stripe all day.

my biggest concern is i hope that mentally this injury doesn't effect him. i tore my ankle in HS coming down off a put back and i still don't go as hard as i did before that injury. hopefully there is no 2nd thought with Dre about going hard.

I hope Dre comes back with hunger & energy greater than anything we've seen from him this season. And I hope he comes back to major minutes. It is long past time to take the training wheels off. We don't have to worry about him suffering any confidence killing set backs against major competition because he's faced everybody and he's done it without fear.

If he gets winded let him play through...
If he makes mistakes let him play through...

AND

Let him play major minutes with Moose!!

Lawrence Frank should be fired if Drummond isn't starting when he comes back. I haven't watched too many Pistons games (just 5 this season, the Pacers games and one other), but Drummond has been a beast every time we've played you guys. I'm easily most concerned about his impact when you guys come to town. He'll be the best defensive Center in the NBA, over Hibbert or Sanders or whoever someday. Also fits with what the Pistons have historically done to merit success. I'd understand Frank's actions if the Vets ahead were more impactful than him, but they aren't, add on top of that that his development is the single most important thing the Pistons have going for them and it's unexcusable.

I don't really agree with the notion that we'd keep him out longer to improve lottery chances.

There's never been any evidence at all that we have ever tanked to get more lotto balls, and I certainly don't think they'd keep their best young prospect off the court in order to do it.

Wanting to make sure he doesn't reinjure his back is reason enough.

We need to get something positive out of this season. Otherwise it's completely lost.

Starting Drummond and playing him 30+ mins a game (assuming he's healthy enough) will help him, will help the team, and let us know exactly what his effect on this team is.

2nd that. I'm 100% fine with him playing limited mins in his first couple games back, but after that we need to start him and play him 28-32 mins nightly. We NEED to let Moose/Knight/Dre build chemistry, and find out if Moose/Dre is going to work long-term or not.

DFP says drummond hasn't been able to condition at all for 4 weeks, even if he does come back, he'll more thanlikely be only playing 15-20 min.

Hopefully the lineup looks like

Moose/Drummond
CV/Krav as backups

Max and JJ get benched

Sweet Jebus you know we have some terrible bigs when a bum like CV is considered out best big off the bench after shooting 33% over a two month span. The following picture sums up my thoughts on that.
