The difference is that:

1. Shabazz actually has a position. He isn't a tweener. He's a 2 imo, who can play some 3 if necessary.
2. He isn't a ball stopper and iso guy like Rivers. Shabazz can fit into any offense because he has a few very valuable skills that all offenses need imo: Perimeter shooting, post up, and getting to the line

Makes no sense why CLE passed on Drummond in the draft. Its not like they had another Center already. Drummond/Thompson would've been an awesome frontcourt inside, and then you'd have a star guard in Irving on the perimeter. Instead they go with Waiters and Zeller. lmao

People really believed the 7 footer with once every decade freak athletic ability was gonna be a bum lol. It was hilarious last May/June & even more hilarious now that hes on my team lol.

I think college is a terrible brand of basketball for a guy like Andre Drummond. He may have been pretty good with Michigan last year with a real PG, but other than that his skillset fits the NBA. I'm honestly starting to think the same for Shabazz. .

Shabazz is another example of that, Shabazz is a killer. Killers dont really kill in college, they kill in the pros.

Agreed. He's the type of player who thrives in the NBA, but don't really fit into the college game. If high schoolers were still allowed to go pro, he'd probably would've had a better year in the NBA this year than he did in college.

Not to compare the two, or say that because one has been bad in the NBA means Shabazz will, but wasn't Austin Rivers basically the same? Player who was a stud in HS who everyone though would be amazing? Goes on to under performed in college and people say his skill set was better suited to the NBA?

Shabazz size which allows him to post is a game changer, Austin was a killer but he just doesnt have the size or skill set to do what his mind wants him to do, Shabazz does.
