You don't pay Iggy for his PPG...

That said I believe Brewer is someone we should target in free agency.

Could the Nugz keep him? Sure... if they choose to pony up enough money. But at what point does retaining him impact them elsewhere?

Is Brewer going to stay in Denver for $4-5 mil per season?

Or would he rather come to Detroit, have a legit chance to start and get paid more?

Stuckey's expiring, Singler, both seconds, future first.

Imagine if we get McLemore. Sign Jack, Landry, Kaman.

Knight/Jack
McLemore/Fournier
Chandler/Middleton
Monroe/Landry
Drummond/Kaman

Obviously it won't happen but it's not crazy.

Why would Denver do that deal? The just drafted Fournier and have been more then happy with his progress, and were rumored to be receiving calls to trade Chandler for a lotto pick last draft and still have Chandler, telling me they turned those calls down despite the fact that Chandler was already slated to be out until at least January.

Sorry, just being over optimistic.

honestly denver's fine financially and i think they have one of the youngest teams, or at least the youngest contending team. they don't need to trade any of their players, Iggy is the only player i think is realistic because he's opting out, but we are going be looking at offering him 15 mil to pry him away from Denver, and into our crap situation. As much as i would love chandler, i don't thikn we have any pieces to get him, and everyone is right taht a lotto pick is way too much

Yeah, I agree. As much as I want chandler I don't think we have the pieces to get him unless we want to trade our pick which is out of the question. My dream scenario is Shabazz and Chandler but I wouldn't hate drafting Porter and trying to absorb Gordon from the Pelicans.

Knight
Muhammad
Chandler
Monroe
Drummond

Knight
Gordon
Porter
Monroe
Drummond

I'm sure neither will happen though...

This draft is such crap. This is the type of draft where good players are going to be taken in the late-mid round. I am not a fan of porter. i'd rather run with middleton's potential. i hope shabazz keeps falling, i really like his upside and he does know how to score the ball. i just question the work ethic, if that is strong, i would be happy as sh* with him

Return to Detroit Pistons
