Have your 2012-2013 pistons predictions come true?
Time for us all to reminiscence the beginning of the season.
For me, my predictions have come true, as we did not make the playoffs and harden did become a 25 ppg scorer.
yours?

Nope. I said we would be in the playoffs. We were competitive until Prince was traded but could never close games. I put a lot of blame on Frank for not starting Drummond from day one. His rotations were absolutely dumbfounding as well. Also, Stuckey dropped off the face of the earth which I did not expect. If I was coaching I would've used this same starting lineup the entire season.
Knight
Stuckey
Prince
Monroe
Drummond

Stuckey
Prince
Monroe
Drummond

i thought we'd fight for a playoff spot. We weren't even close.
Before the season i thought Stuckey and Knight would make a solid starting backcourt. They weren't even close.

Mine sort of came true. I was figured We would end up with Calderon at some point this season. But I was guessing it was going to take more than what we gave up. I was guessing it would have been Stuckey, Jerebko, and Maggette for Calderon and a bad contract like Landry Fields. But other than that, we won more games than I thought we would.

No, I thought Stuckey would have a break out season and he didn't...I thought we would make the playoffs and we didn't...I thought Prince would retire a Pistons and he didn't...

Re: Have your 2012-2013 pistons predictions come true?
No:
1) Stuckey didn't become the go to scorer at the wing spot
2) Drummond/Monroe wasn't the force all season long we needed to make the playoffs
3) Bench would make a huge step forward but sucked instead
4) Jason Maxiell wasn't traded
Yes:
1) Brandon Knight showed us he wasn't the PG of the future
2) The team sucked and Tay got shipped out
3) Frank would get fired if the Pistons missed the playoffs.

Re: Have your 2012-2013 pistons predictions come true?
I thought we'd win 37-38 games and fight for the 8th seed so that was wrong
Hoped that Moose would average 17 and 10 he averaged 16 and 9.5 so that was fairly close
Also hoped that Knight would average 15 and 5 so I wrong again
Thought Stuckey would finally put a whole season together and become a go-to scorer (around 17-18 ppg)
The only thing I got right was that I predicted that Drummond would beast (even in limited minutes)

Re: Have your 2012-2013 pistons predictions come true?
This was my call from a thread in August about predicting the central division:
"I see us as definitely worse than IND/CHI/MIL--less talented and much less experienced--and in a struggle with CLE to see who can fight off more injuries and win more close games against bad teams. We should be able to win 25 games minimum, though, hopefully more like 33."
29 wins, dead in the middle of my prediction. Pattin' myself on the back.
Damn if I wasn't wrong about Drummond, though, said he would be clueless his first year and not at all a factor. Five win shares and 21.6 PER shut me the f*ck up.

Here's the thread on season predictions from the summer. Wish I owned a crow buffet in downtown Ferndale, I'd be doing big business today:

This is pretty much what I was expecting. How wrong we were.

Re: Have your 2012-2013 pistons predictions come true?
I thought they'd be under .500 but in the neighborhood, and not make the playoffs. So about 10 wins from reality (although I guess 10 wins better would have put them in the playoffs). I didn't expect anything special, that's for sure.

Re: Have your 2012-2013 pistons predictions come true?
I was figuring we'd have an outside shot at the playoffs and show a distinct improvement from the previous season.
I didn't predict us to ultimately make the playoffs, but I hadn't ruled it out.
So no, I my predictions didn't come true. It was unfortanately a year where we more or less held serve relative to the season that came before.
