rondo

Post#1 » by Drummond4Prez » Tue May 7, 2013 7:36 am

http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/22 ... mor-Absurd

if stephen a smith was on to something here and the celtics pull this move, does anybody think we could be buyers for rondo?

the pistons would have to offer stuckey and monroe to prolly aquire rondo.

would you do this if you were joe dumars?

i would definitely do this if i were dumars and after i would reach out and get josh smith to take care of the vacant 4 spot after the trade. amnesty CV and sign oj mayo and corey brewer and we would still have the lottery pick and prolly more money to sign veterans to round out the roster and make a serious playoff push

rondo/knight
mayo/english
brewer/singler/middleton
smith/jerebko
drummond/kravstov

this all seems unlikely to happen but if the celtics and clippers were real with what stephen a was saying then going after rondo should definitely be a high priority for dumars

It's highly unlikely and I don't want him, unless it's for Lebron/KD I don't want to give up Moose and Dre for anybody.

No way I’m giving up one of Dre and Monroe for Rondo. I would hate to trade Knight but if we are going after Rondo it would be Knight and whatever else to match salaries…or anything the Celtics will take outside of Knight, Dre and Monroe.

Whomever suggested that trade between the Clips and Celts must have been smoking some good s**t.
If it was Stephen A, his parents are from the Caribbean so you know he can get the good stuff.

It says "absurd" right in the title, and yet, people still bite on it. Ridiculous.

Pending the outcome of the lotto I'd trade anything outside of Drummond and Monroe for Rondo.

Lets hope Rondo/Drummond/Monroe/(McLemore-Olidipo-Porter-Muhammad-Bennett) is a very attractive option to Josh Smith or Andre Igoudala.

Monroe for Rondo?.. Heck no!..Don't get me wrong Rondo is a top of the line PG, but I'm not a trading a double-double machine 22yr old big man for Rondo...

JJ Hickson is a 24 year old double-double machine and is available in FA. Big deal or empty stats? There are lots of other bigs available too: Dwight, Big Al, Millsap, Josh Smith. Would we really see a huge drop off if we traded Moose?

Rondo is a triple double machine. He also has the desire and drive you need to win in the playoffs. I have no idea if Moose does. No idea what any of this has to do with the "absurd" trade, but I've always been willing to entertain a Rondo for Monroe trade.

Hell no, especially when you count that his injury is going to take another year to recover

Monroe is a more certified double-double machine...If I'm not mistaken he lead the East in double-doubles last season...Monroe is good, we have to start giving Bullwinkle credit...The only person I would trade Monroe for is Cousins...Thats my opinion...

Not that I think Moose is presently better than Rondo, but trading him would just create another hole to fill. A 6'11 skilled bigman, and another 6'11 athletic freak with a sky high ceiling...well, that's just a difficult combo to find.

i wouldn't trade monroe or drummond for rondo. and i really like rondo.
Something based around knight and our pick is something that could work though.

No from Boston, I love Monroe but Stucky is just terrible. We would want a draft pick.

This board has some of the biggest homers in the league. The fact that they think that an overrated Knight plus Piston trash could land an all-star PG in Rondo is laughable. I like Monroe as much as the next but if Boston said we will give you Rondo for Monroe. I think Joe D will do it or Gores should fire him on the spot. Too much homerism here and I'm not talking about the Simpsons.

Knight, Stuckey, Villanueva, Singler and swap 1st potentially for Rondo and J Green. If we cant get Noels, Mclemore, V Oleddyipo, Bennett, porter, Muhammad, or MCW than I'd trade it. But thats seven we should get one of them.

Jeff Green is near untouchable for Boston, i think they see him as their future allstar SF. Rondo i think is available and i also think when you watch him play without PP and KG, your going to realize he really isn't as good as he's hyped to be.
