Stuckey and the 8th pick for Eric Gordon and the 6th pick.

With the 6th pick we hope Burke is still on the bored!
In free agency sign Josh Smith - Chris Kamen
Hope Andrei Bargnani gets bought out
Starting line up becomes.

PG: Tray Burke
SG: Eric Gordon
SF: Josh Smith
PF: Greg Monroe
C: Andre Drummend

Bench

Brandon knight
Kyle singler
Andrei Bargnani
Charlie V
Chris Kamen
Kim English
3 second round picks

This will make us a hard and deep team to beat! Joe D has to make the right moves!

Like the creativity, but not the moves.

Gordon is broken.
JSmoove is not a SF.
If we trade up, it should be for McLemore or Oladipo

I would definitely do an Eric Gordon for Stuckey and a swap of picks. But I don't think that's realistic. That would be a fantastic trade! I would consider Knight and Stuckey for Eric Gordon and a swap of picks.

New Orleans will give Gordon away but his contract makes him a leper. Will he ever fully recover? I'll pass.

Gordon is a risk that Id want Joe D to take particularly if we walk out the draft with Carter-Williams. He's only 24 year old and we have a good medical staff, I think he will be fine especially once he leaves NOH since he's not happy there.

EG is a huge gamble.

IF he is actually healthy and was merely "sitting" out because he didn't want to be in NO then sure, bring him in and hope he can be what he was before his injury

IF he wasn't "foxing" and is broken then Hell No! In this case we should avoid him at all costs

How would we know the state of his health? Make him take a medical... if it passes then complete the trade...I believe this is standard practice anyway!

Pistons will need to win a big gamble if they're going to turn this around. It's a gamble...but Pistons are not the type of franchise that should be playing it safe after a half decade of being bad...faced with a mediocre draft to reward them. If Gordon's health and attitude can be restored, he's the perfect fit.

From wikipedia which has a good timeline on Gordon. So he has/had cartilege damage but didn't have the micro-fracture procedure, which is good news (I've had it and it is brutal). So he finally played a single back-to-back at the end of the season last year. Not sure if his knee will survive a full 82 game schedule. Is that worth paying $14M a year for? I guess that is the question...

2011–2012
On December 14, 2011, the Clippers traded Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu, and a 2012 first-round pick (previously acquired from the Minnesota Timberwolves) to the New Orleans Hornets in exchange for Chris Paul and two future second-round picks.[41] In his first ever game as a Hornet, playing against the Phoenix Suns, Gordon recorded 20 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. He also hit the game winning shot with 4.2 seconds remaining, and New Orleans defeated the Suns in the season opener 85-84. It was revealed that Gordon had a pre-existing knee injury that he aggravated during the opening game of the season against the Phoenix Suns after bumping knees with Grant Hill. Initially Gordon was diagnosed with having a bone bruise, but after further examinations by doctors, it was determined that Gordon had cartilage damage in his right knee. On February 14, 2012, Eric Gordon underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his knee and was out of action for 6 weeks. Gordon returned on April 4, 2012 to face the Denver Nuggets and scored 15 points giving the New Orleans Hornets a 94-92 victory.
Gordon finished the season with 9 games played, averaging 20.6 points per game, 2.8 rebounds per game and 3.4 assists per game. He entered the summer of 2012 as a restricted free agent.
On July 11, 2012, Gordon signed an offer sheet with the Phoenix Suns reportedly worth $58 million for 4 years.[42] On July 14, 2012, the Hornets matched the 4 year offer sheet.[43]

2012–2013
During the offseason, Gordon admitted that he faced lingering problems with his knee. Microfracture surgery was reportedly proposed as a solution, but in early November, Gordon received a second opinion from a doctor in Chicago, who prescribed continued rehab for his knee and estimated that Gordon would miss 4-6 weeks.[44] On November 7, 2012, Gordon was sent to Los Angeles to get more personalized rehabilitation work to help in his knee recovery and to strengthen his quad muscles.
On December 29, 2012, Gordon made his highly anticipated season debut against the Charlotte Bobcats. Gordon, coming off the bench, scored 24 points, 7 assists and 2 steals in less than 25 minutes, giving the New Orleans Hornets a 98-95 win over the Bobcats. Team doctors placed Gordon on strict restrictions from playing in the second game of back-to-back sets and from playing over 30 minutes to avoid overworking his right knee. On January 5, 2013, Gordon returned to the starting lineup. Gordon hit the game-winner from the top of the circle with 4.7 seconds left after drawing a foul on Mavericks guard Darren Collison, who bit on Gordon's pump fake as the New Orleans Hornets edged the Dallas Mavericks 99-96 in overtime. On April 10, 2013, Gordon played his first back-to-back set of the season against the Sacramento Kings after he was cleared by team doctors for his restrictions to be lifted.

Stuckey won't get us a player like EG no matter how injured or crappy his contract is, let alone allow us to move up in the draft. Stuckey won't get us anything valuable

Beyond these excellent points, Dumars' job is likely on the line and he knows it. The Pistons desperately need a true #1 scoring option and Gordon COULD fit that bill; quite honestly, there really aren't any other options available to us via the draft of free agency whom we can say that about. Facing his "all in" offseason with money to spend and a glaring need for a scorer, I agree that Dumars rolls the dice on Gordon; it's his job if he craps out, but it's also probably his job if he keeps the dice in his hand and never steps up to the table.

Josh Smith isn't a 3 & is literally the worst fit on planet earth for our team.

Eric Gordon is a walking injury w/ a huge contract.

Why on earth would NO do this trade if they value Gordon at all?

if we could get Gordon for Stuckey we should probably do it, unless something better becomes available. I doubt there would be any pick swapping involved though, if anything it would probably cost us at least a 2nd.

no Smoove.

the only thing I hope about Andrea is that hes never in a Pistons uniform.

If we can get Gordon for Stuckey, we should be nervous that the Pelicans know something we don't.

I quite literally stopped reading right there. It absolutely makes no sense to trade up for a PG when MCW can easily be fallen to us if we ABSOLUTELY needed a new PG. This league isn't driven by a pure PG, so I do not necessarily believe that we throw Knight under the bus...yet. If we're trading up, it should be for McLemore, Oladipo, or Porter.

And Josh Smith thing...let it go. He's not a 3, nor will he ever be.
