Well which teams are not going to tank next season and have cap space? Perhaps we could go after Millsap? I thought we would have no chance to get him but the way FA is right now we could do a LOT worse.

Dallas, maybe Denver. I agree we could have a decent shot at him though and should look into it. Especially since he was renounced, meaning no S&T possibilities for caped out teams to acquire him.

Great scorer, bad defender. Brings some much needed experience though, would be behind this. Reckon it would cost at least 10 a year to get him.

I feel like there are enough other teams out there with starting spots open for him. Not sure he comes here to be a backup.... although he'd be a very solid addition to our rotation.

NO. We have 3 starting positions that need to be filled. Adding an undersized backup big man should be the last thing the Pistons are working on right now.

Throw the max at Smith. Amnesty CV. Sign Jack and Milsap.

Knight/Jack
KCP/English
Smith/Middleton
Monroe/Milsap
Drummond/Kravstov

We should definitely try and sign him. And I think we could sell him on being the 6th man and getting 30+ minutes a game with Drummond and Monroe.

Also Carl Landry and Jaret Jack were renounced all 3 of those guys could be solid bench guys for us.

We do have 3 starting spots to fill, there are no decent players to fill it with in free agency.

i want Milsap and Wright.
Not a jack fan, but wouldn't hate the signing.
No to Smith though.

If we could land Millsap(or Landry), Wright, and Jack all on cheap deals we'd be doing alright. Three solid rotation players to add along with our rookie into our 9 man rotation.

I like Miillsap but like it's been stated he probably has starting opportunities elsewhere. It's hard to see him wanting to be a bench/rotation player for a rebuilding team. Unless the Pistons vastly overpay him of course.

I love Millsap. If we did go for him, he would have to be fine being a sixth-man. Then I'd deal Jerebko I'd rather have Charlie V stretching the floor than him.

Drummond/Millsap
Monroe/CV
Singler/Middleton
KCP/Billups
Jack/Knight

I'll definitely be fine with this going to training camp.

Edit: We should get Jarret Jack instead of Bynum. Then start Jack rather than Knight, let him earn his minutes. Our guard rotations would be full of comboguards capable of holding their own on the 1 spot.

Then they should be keeping every penny for potential trades. I'd hate to find out we missed on a big trade because we were short a couple million from signing Milsap.

Also if either of those role players can be signed on reasonable deals, they become assets.
