Not to take anything away from Klay, but 16/4/2 are a bit above average raw stats for a starting wing. 20/4/4 are near all star level, depending on the competition that year. Might not seem like much but 4 pts and 2 dimes matter, especially if both guys are playing the same amount of minutes and using possessions at the same efficiency. 20% more scoring per minute, 50% more creating.

The other thing is that Allen kept up a 20+ pt average for 16 seasons. Very few guys can claim that. Ray's longevity and his big playoff moments are his main claim to HOF status. Without both, he's not going to the hall. He wasn't much in the discussion 6-7 years ago.

But yeah, Klay was definitely a nice pick for the warriors. Any time you get a player who's at least a solid starter with a pick outside the top 5, you should be happy.

Yea, only guy in history to put a triple-double performance in Hoop Summit and a 6'9 Center 20 year old Center averaging 5ppg-7rpg-2bpg in his sophmore season will go undrafted...

Good lord, he'll be a top20 pick, no doubt.

He's been pretty bad in his two years. I'm not sure what league you're watching in which 5/7 with 1.8 blocks in 28 minutes per game are really promising, but I'm sure Charlotte would love to join that league. Huge liability on offense, not a very good rebounder for a defensive specialist. He's still got time to learn but not looking great now.

Saying he wouldn't go top 50 is a big stretch but he's definitely well outside the lotto in any redo. And that speaks more to the weakness of the 2011 draft than anything else.

based on what? what has he done in the league to make you think he is worth a first rnd pick, let alone top 20?

I would have taken Leonard back then, as soon as Biyombo became unavailable.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

Wanted Kemba then, still would rather have him now. Glad Joe didn't pick Biyombo, I was wrong about that dude. I guess to be fair he's only 20 still but if we took him we wouldn't have Dre.
