That's too much money for that guy.

Thing I'll appreciate about Maxiell is that as a fan, I'm less likely to take bigs who rebound for granted...after being forced to watch him for too many minutes.

Seems like a decent human being. Glad I don't have to watch him play on the Pistons anymore.

+1 now if only some team could steal Bynum away from Joe.

Sad face indeed.

Though I think Jerebko now gets to inhibit the Max roll for us Detroit fans. Young hustle guy who showed some promise, got (over)paid and then wilted away, only to pop up here and there to show some spark of life. Sigh

Too Much money. (2) years at $2.5 mil with only first year guaranteed is a steel for a quality backup. Very low risk. But, I do agree that Max has wore out his welcome here.

I had figured Bynum would have too, but I doubt any other teams were offering that kind of money, but only minimum level contracts.

Kind of funny reading through the Orlando board. A lot of posters there said they'd be ok with it if it was for the vet minimum. Ends up being for 2.5 mil per season. lol

I thought of beach balls bouncing against each other when I pictured him and Glen Davis in practice.

Honestly I'm glad he's gone.

The 8 years we had with him were enough. I'm flabbergasted that a marginal player like him actually had a position with the same team for as long as he did.

So long and thanks for all the blocks.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.
