These guys signed or will sign cheap = do you prefer either over the three we decided to keep/sign.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

I am not a Nate fan. And Bynum is a great teammate who I wanted gone but can now see a role for because we're a much better defensive team with greatly improved athleticism , a perfect situation for his dynamic other bench abilities.

As for chauncey, I'm convinced that we needed him because of his great team leadership skills on a young team. Besides, in limited minutes I'll bet he can still play very effectively. We all know he's about the best 3 point shouting pg around.

Bynum and Nate are similar players. Score first undersized PG. Both look exclusively for their shot and only pass when they can get assist numbers. I don't really like either because they don't provide anything when their shot isn't dropping, but they'll still shoot.
Nate is dumber, but a better shooter. It's a wash for me.

Mo wouldn't have been a bad pick up because he's a decent shooter, but Billips is the fan friendly pick and he is a proven leader that will push our young guards (and hopefully underachieving not so young guards) to be better. Billips is here to produce on court, but mainly he is that alpha dog type guy who could instill that attitude onto a guy like Knight. Billips was the right choice.

Stuckey was already signed, so whatever he isn't really in the equation.

Mo Williams has proven to be an emotionally fragile front runner. This is the guy who was so hurt (que the violin music) when Lebron left Cleveland, he contemplated retiring. Really dude? He also was in no mood to compete for his starting position in Utah so he demanded a guarantee or he wasn't going to sign. Utah's response: Kick rocks.

Nate Robinson had a coming out party in this year's playoffs. He also performed at a high level for the Celtics during their playoff run a few years back. And we could also take into consideration the prolific numbers he put up for the Knicks when he played with them. So why does he move around? Why does he have trouble sticking with a team? Well he has a track record of being some of a locker room cancer. He had a really weird fight in the shower with Malik Rose back in the day (nothing is so upsetting that I've got to fight a dude naked). He freelances on offense breaking away from the play and ignoring his coaches directions. Nate is a nice spark, but you get what you get = a selfish player with little respect for direction and a potential to stir up foolishness in the locker room.

Bynum is a good soldier. Will the Thrill comes to play whether he's getting minutes or not, dude is ready when his number is called. Additionally, Will's chemistry with Drummond is a huge PLUS.

Billups is the consummate professional. He's the guy the other players in the league refer to as the mayor which is an indication they recognize his leadership and stability. He can orchestrate the offense. He is a low turnover guy. He's a deadeye shooter. He's an unflappable clutch performer. He's B-B-B-Billups!

Stuckey, well he tends to be the devil we know. He's moody with the potential to be explosive. He is bigger and stronger than most of the pgs in the league so he can tend to be an imposing figure on 1's he's matched against. The frustrating thing is, his attitude gets in the way of that most of the time, but as a plus he's expiring contract.

None of our guys are emotionally fragile or locker room cancers. I prefer what we have.
