If our owner wasn't so cheap we could amnesty Villanueva and have money to either sign somebody to fill a hole or make a trade that would allow another team to open up cap space. There aren't as many bad contracts out there as there used to be because of the amnesty so expiring deals aren't that sought after, again, too bad Gores is a cheap ass.

Amnesty Charlie V and sign who? Just out of curiosity.

It's not just about signing players it's also about trades, Villanueva's expiring deal is nice and all but giving a team instant cap or luxury tax relief would be worth a lot more in a deal. As for what player(s) I would look at signing if we had around $10 million because we amnestied CV... Pekovic may not fill a need but he's a big man that can play and would allow us to trade one of our existing bigs for a very good perimeter player.....Mozgov as already mentioned because we really need a back-up center.....Greg Oden.....hell I'd give Troy Murphy a shot as a stretch 4. There aren't many guys left out there now but 2 weeks ago there sure was and we could have filled some holes but now we're stuck with guys like Singler, Jerebko, Kravtsov, Bynum and Middleton that don't belong in the league but will probably see quite a few minutes on this team with no depth.

So sign Pek to $12+ million contract to be a 25 mpg backup? Only to inevitably have it matched? Better yet, actually expect him to agree to the offer sheet in the first place? Same with Mozgov, unless you plan to severely overpay, he's getting matched. Troy Murphy? Really? He's actually worse than CV at this point. Dafuq? Oden would make sense, but you wouldn't have needed to amnesty CV for that. You can't really trust to pay him more than a couple million. And lol @ those guys not belonging in the league. Seriously just stop.

You didn't want to talk about all the guys that were still available 2 weeks ago though did you? Please tell me what skill-sets Jerebko, Singler, Kravtsov, Middleton and Bynum bring to the table that makes them deserve to get minutes in the NBA?

I wouldn't mind throwing an offer at Timofey Mozgov. Dude has some untapped potential. If nothing else, he can bring a solid 10 minutes and 6 fouls a game.

Lol, Mozgov and Knight on the same team? We can call them the Poster Boys! 8-)

By all means, bring up the guys available 2 weeks ago and we can talk about them. Its YOUR argument. I just chose to poke holes in the names you named.

And good job changing the argument about Jerebko, Singler, etc. You said they didn't belong in the NBA. Quite different from them deserving minutes. Maybe you should pay attention to what you're saying and the hyperbole you're using.

If a player doesn't deserve minutes than he doesn't belong in the league, not that complicated. I would rather sign random D-League guys to the minimum than have those guys on the roster.

Yeah, OK right. Even you don't believe that.
